Just so you don't become discouraged, I feel I must post to let you know
someone reads your stats.

Come on chaps! You let Rowland have #2 without a battle? Lucky he was only
posting for a week.

  Aspen (iPhone simulator) issues

Author: zoara
Date: Mar 9, 2008 17:12

My copy of the Aspen iPhone simulator has no settings available for
Contacts. The other settings (at least for the apps included on Aspen)
all function as on a real iPhone.

Is anyone else seeing this?

*shrug* There were (and still are) lots of viruses on platforms other
than the Mac.

I sold a phone recently and didn't have much trouble. Have you selected
UK only?
I think I only got a couple of offers in the whole process, which I
thought was good for a phone.

This is the first phone I've sold - and most definitely the last.

My main regret is that I'm no longer freelancing from home - I'd love to
have the free time to have a bit of fun with these scammers....

I'd love to make a phone for them - in the style of the P P P Powerbook
- I've got some spare Scrabble tiles around here somewhere.

As others have said, it's pretty awful. I've got a work one with a
qwerty keyboard, and for e-mail using WiFi, it's fine and pretty crash
free.

The phone bit unfortunately is far less reliable and crashes quite
regularly. My personal Palm Treo crashes every now and then, but the
Windows Mobile one is far far worse.

In fact, unless I really need to use e-mail, I just put the sim card in
a normal (non smart) phone.

If you don't have unlimited data, the other annoying thing that seems to
happen is that if you have ActiveSync configured for server
synchronisation, for some reason every now and then, the schedule for
syncrhonisation seems to change by itself to 'as items arrive' which can
be expensive!

You need to register for the NSFilenamesPboardType.

The performDragOperation shows how to extract paths from the pasteboard
data.

Ripping a couple of old LPs that weren't available anywhere else into
iTunes. Very satisfying and kudos to Rogue Amoeba for making it so easy.
