I should mention - this is for listening to the radio.

I've no idea if it also works for video.

  BBC iPlayer/BT router problem workaround

Author: real-address-in-sig

It's like this:

Turn off Javascript in yer browser.

The iPlayer won't fire up - you'll get a little message in an iPlayer
style window telling you to turn Javascript on, and a link so you can
get the programme via RealPlayer.

Ta-da!

(Ten minutes after doing the above, my router's still not reset itself;
the iPlayer itself triggers a reset after about five minutes.)

finding our the processor (speed) of an old machine

Author: Mike
Date: Jul 23, 2008 12:50

A friend has a iBook that is some 6+ years old now and she was wondering
if it was worthwhile updating from the current original 10.1 to, say,
10.3 and I suggested it very much depended on the processor and to click
on 'about this mac' to find out what is reported.

She says that it does not show the processor when she does that, just
the amount of memory it has. I cannot remember back to 10.1 on my own
iBook to say what she should actually press/touch to reveal the
processor and its speed. Any suggestion, please?
