  MRSA - infected or carriers

Author: Pat Gardiner
Date: Jul 2, 2008 11:36

Pat's Note: PD reasonably raised the point that being infected with
MRSA and merely carrying it were two different things.

This science tells us that one can be regarded as a pre-infected
condition.

The "Gardiner Hypothesis" suggest a very pronouced timeline between
pigs getting mutated PMWS - Circovirus and MRSA entering the general
population, with the same for C.Diff and other zoonotic infections
arising in sick pigs

Just to remind you, the geographical timeline is

1. England, Northern Ireland
2. Scotland
3. Canada
4. USA, New Zealand.

The disease timeline is

1. PMWS
2. Mutated PMWS
3. MRSA in pigs pork, pig farmers and vets (carriers mainly)
4. "Piggy" MRSA spreading into hospitals and general population
5. Increasing C.Diff appearing in hospitals

  MRSA - C.Diff - Health Tourism

Author: Pat Gardiner
Date: Jul 2, 2008 11:18

Pat's Note The papers are full of health tourism. I won't happen. The
Norwegians for example are fed up with sending their own patients to
the UK and getting them back with C.Diff and MRSA.

It won't happen. They would start testing British patients for
associations with vets, pigs and pork., ebfore admitting them for
elective surgery. They would no doubt now be looking for piggy MRSA
and C.Diff.

They can't concieve of a country that would risk its elderly and kids
to protect a gang of bent vets.

Neither could I, once.

Liz Lynne, West Midlands Liberal Democrat MEP Liz Lynne said: "Sadly,
NHS hospitals have a higher incidence of super bugs and poorer
survival rates for many conditions, including some cancers, than other
EU member states, so is it no wonder an increasing number of people
are going abroad for treatment.

I'm not certain Pat is uncivilised; I honestly think his mind's awry.
The sock puppets and other hangers-on were definitely uncivilised :-)

The answer is: Yes, but don't use the yellow end.

Now, what was the question?

Btw, Hi Sarah,

Cheerio,

PMWS - Circovirus. Does the vaccine work as well as claimed?

Author: Pat Gardiner
Date: Jul 2, 2008 06:49

Pat's Note: I have always been troubled about the efficiency claimed
for circovirus - pmws vaccines. It's not so much the science, but
desperation does seem to breed excessive and exaggerated claims.

These comments from the US yesterday do seem to suggest that the rise
in US hog numbers may be more due to statistical errors rather than
the much touted efficiency of the vaccine.

This is important in the UK, where BPEX has been grandly distributing
vouchers to desperate pig farmers. Judging by animal aids photos, it
had not worked that well for the bosses and there are admissions all
over the place that PMWS is still causing major problems.

I'm afraid the measures taken against PMWS already too little too
late, now look less than effective too.

I'm afraid this all comes down to the State Veterinary Service
covering up the epidemic was back in 1999.

It looks as if the link with human MRSA, here, in Ireland and Canada
is likely to overtake the situation, probably by the US piling in with
lawyers and science.

It does not take much to test a pig, if you can access one, or pork
which takes merely a quick transaction in the supermarket.

Yes, you and the vast majority here are civilised. I've always
considered those who rant at others, even when they person being ranted
at has made it clear they do now want to be ranted at, uncilised boors.

It might not be quite so reassuring when the Canadian media, already
taking a close interest in this newsgroup, start to ask exactly what
the connection is between my postings in 2001/2 about sick pigs and
faked blood tests and their problems on both farm with PMWS and in the
hospitals with MRSA and C.Diff.

Ah. I must be civilised. How... reassuring. Must try to live up to that!
