WTD: Blank DVD and CD media

Last purchase from Starmount - they sent DVD-RW instead of DVD-R.
DVD-RW of no use to me whatsoever - but I must have guaranteed delivery
of new blank media for Wednesday.

Can anyone recommend a reliable company? Not too sure how SVP are
performing these days, not having used them in many months.

Looking for only about 100 of each - maybe more if bulk pricing applies.

Thanks

Duncan

IMHO, if you want them for tomorrow, "guaranteed" - the only way is to
go and collect them. You have PC World shops in Bournemouth,
Christchurch and Poole.

A bit cynical, I know - but I was let down, yet again, last week. The
carrier in question claimed "Card left" and emailed me "proof".

That "proof" showed the timesstamps of the van at depot and my address -
34 minutes apart. Except that the two are 46 miles apart along country
roads and lanes and a large section of Dartmoor 40mph zone..

I know - but I resent paying over-the-odds at PC World.

I have a local store that is probably even more expensive, but I'd
sooner support them than PCW.

I get mine from these guys.
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Ace-Computertech

Party becuase I tend to always hit Ebay first when I need something because
it's easier but also as they have never failed to deliver next working day
for me. I don't know (or care) how they compare on price but I tend to stick
with a reliable supplier rather than save 20p or so going somewhere else I
have not dealt with. :)

May not be of any help to you but Maplins have been doing 100 tubs of
Verbatim 16x DVD's for £20, which is pretty good for the high street.

You can resent them for pretending that their staff know a lot more
than they really do, but if you avoid the 15 quid USB cables, there
are some good prices there.

According to their web site, their sale prices are:

Have you looked at the PC World "Collect to Store" prices on the web?
e.g. Verbatim 50 pack DVD+R at £9.49.

You reserve on the website for collecting at the store - just take the
reference number to the store and collect and pay.

I've been using blanks from Tescos for a while now. Both CD and DVD in
their own brand range.
I've not had a bad one yet.

I couldn't comment on their lifespan but for short-term use they're
great.
