Hi,
One of my sites has a lovely smoked-glass wall box, with nice
colour-coded structured wiring patch panels and patch cables.. But above
it a tray on which is mounted an adsl router, a couple of cable
router/switches and two 16 way switches.

However, the new manager doesn't like the tray and bits sat on it. Could
I replace it with rack-mounted units, so that it would look neater?

Being the person what scrounged and otherwise beat to death people to
get the box and everything else - and put in all the structured wiring,
cableformed all the cables to the units mounted on the tray etc - all at
the lowest imaginable cost..Words failed me.

However, I did promise to see if I could get:

1)A rack mounted ADSL router with 4 port switch
2)A pair of rack mounted cable routers
3)A rack mounted 32 way 100meg switch or 2x16

Anyone got anything like this and/or willing to give me a price?

(I did suggest putting a poster over the front window of the box but she
likes all the coloured cables and flashing lights. It makes the office
look modern and technical, apparently. I can see the two of us are
really going to get on..)
