To take a K6-2 500MHz CPU. I'm not holding much hope here, as eBay has
nothing.

We've probably got something at home, even got some 286 mobo's somewhere!

I'll have a look later, these would be ISA/PCI slots if they are that old?

Thanks, Peter. Yes, ISA and PCI, maybe an AGP slot, too, to fit an old
AT case. The mobo must take DIMMs, too.

How about an Asus P/I P55TVP4?

ISTR getting one to work with that processor..But you would have to
check, as it was some time ago. ISTR that it neeed a BIOS update and a
big hsf.

I've got one here, complete with 2xSerial + parallel backplate.

They do turn up every now and then.
The FIC VA503+ or VA503A are good ones to go for.
You may need to try and source one from America (eBay) if you are prepared
to pay the postage.
You'll need a board with either the Via MVP3 or the Ali Aladdin 5 chipset
(go for the Via if you can) to have decent AGP and K6-2 support.

Do you have any 486 boards with PCI slots?

Cheers!

Also a QDI P51430TX Titanium - which might be better for you.

According to:
http://www.motherboards.org/files/manuals/1/p55tvp4-152.pdf

It doesn't have three frequency ratio jumpers, so will only go up to
3.5x.

It only supports FSB speeds up to 66MHz.

It doesn't have the ability to support all voltages in 0.1V steps from
2.0V upwards -- the lowest CPU voltage mentioned is 2.7V.

At home (100 miles away), I have one of these:
