  Jingle Bells!

Author: Jacqueline Caldwell
Date: Dec 24, 2008 08:42

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Original (yes, the very original) Inside Macintosh

Author: Martin S Taylor
Date: Sep 22, 2008 01:45

I have the original Inside Macintosh - produced before the Mac was even
released. Contains all sorts of useful information, such as what a mouse is,
and why it's useful to have one as well as a keyboard.

It wasn't bound as a book: it's two big lever arch files full of stuff.

Anyone interested?

FF: Powermac 5500, laser printer & scanner

Author: SimonB
Date: Sep 12, 2008 16:18

... more retro items on offer, for free:

1 x Power Macitosh 5500, complete with TV card, AV, modem (14.4),
ethernet. 225 MHz 603e processor.
All-in-one predecessor of the iMac, but from Apple's beige era.

Also:

LaserWriter 4/600 (LocalTalk connector only)
good working order, with spare cartridges

SCSI scanner - Agfa StudioStar

Both these peripherals will work with the 5500 -- all necessary cabling
supplied.

These will need collecting from either Cardiff or London (W9) by 20th
September.
I'd also consider delivering anywhere along the M4/A40 corridor between
these points.

Thanks for any interest.

(by the sea) (using Hogwasher)

Believe me, my young friend (said the water rat, solemnly), there
is nothing - absolutely nothing - half as much worth doing as simply
messing about in boats. Simply messing about. Nothing seems really to
matter, that's the charm of it. Whether you get away or whether you
don't, whether you arrive at your destination or whether you reach
somewhere else, or whether you get anywhere at all, you're always
busy, and you never do anything in particular.
