Pre-Mugabe, it was 'The bread basket of Africa'. Thriving economy,
major exporter of food to the continent.

Then along came the bright idea to throw out all those nasty white
Imperialists, and 'give the land back to the people'.

Great idea.

"Weary Zimbabweans are facing a new wave of price increases that will
put many basic goods even further out of their reach: A loaf of bread
now costs what 12 new cars did a decade ago.

Independent finance houses said in an assessment Tuesday that annual
inflation rose this month to 1,063,572 percent based on prices of a
basket of basic foodstuffs. Economic analysts say unless the rate of
inflation is slowed, annual inflation will likely reach about 5
million percent by October.

As stores opened for business Wednesday, a small pack of locally
produced coffee beans cost just short of 1 billion Zimbabwe dollars. A
decade ago, that sum would have bought 60 new cars.

And fresh price rises were expected after the state Grain Marketing
Board announced up to 25-fold increases in its prices to commercial
millers for wheat and the corn meal staple.

The economy was on shop clerk Jessica Rukuni's mind as she left the
public swimming pool in downtown Harare's central park with three
disappointed children. She found the new admission price of 100
million Zimbabwe dollars — 30 U.S. cents — out of reach.

"The point is that it's far too much for most people who don't get
U.S. dollars," she said.

Her income is the equivalent of about one U.S. dollar a day, and her
family has one basic meal daily."

Bush never mentioned Obama in that speech. It was a ceremony commemorating
the anniversary of the creation of the state of Israel. In that light, it
seems appropriate to mention how Hitler was appeased.

The White House later called it a reference to Jimmy Carter (I heard on the
radio).

Read the text of Bush's speech. Do you really think him capable of such
subtlety as to make that a reference to Obama?

Hello,

I need to route a 1" roundover on a bookshelf speaker project. Total
is about 6 linear feet overall. I have the bit, I have the workpiece
ready, I can run the pieces... I just don't have the router table to
do it with. My plunge router has served me brilliantly over the years,
but this is out of its league and I can't justify the cost of a router
table for 6' of routing (though I know it would come in handy in the
future, too). I've considered the DIY remedy of a "homemade" router
table, but my plunge router's base will not fit the diameter of the
roundover bit, so I run the possibility of having the plunge slip
midcut, the bit striking the base at 6,000 RPM sending shrapnel
through my fleshy bits.

That's hopefully where you come in. Do you have a router table with a
fence? Does the router have a 1/2" collet? Can it handle a bit with a
diameter of about 2 1/2"? Most importantly, could I borrow access to
it for about 10 minutes? :)

Many thanks in advance,
Brian

It's funny how none of this major news has appeared

A review article (published in a peer-reviewed journal

"There are no experimental data to support the hypothesis
that increases in human hydrocarbon use or in atmospheric
carbon dioxide and other green house gases are causing or
can be expected to cause unfavorable changes in global

There is no reason to limit human production of CO2, CH4,

Frank Lautenberg -- 84
Robert Byrd -- 90

Now, in the interest of full disclosure, 14 Republican Senators are
also older than McCain. This raises the larger point: if 70 is too
old to be President, then should one quarter of all Senators be
disqualified from service, too? Is there something special about
being President?

Thinking people realize that, in the grand tradition of Jon Stewart
and Bill Maher, liberals love to play this whole age issue off as
"just joking," while pounding home the age issue ad infinitum. And of
course anyone who dissents has no sense of humor. I find this sort of
thing to be extremely intellectually dishonest.

As the "retirement" age (at which one can begin to collect Social
Security) is gradually raised to 70 and possibly beyond, many aging
Boomers may begin to pose the question: if 70 is too young to retire,
why is it too OLD to be President?
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes
on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other
countries are going to say OK," Obama said.

"That's not leadership. That's not going to happen," he added."

Well, that makes it pretty damn clear what he has in mind !
He want to diminish the lifestyle of Americans, in order to make
'other countries' happy !!!!!

And his wife says :

"Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you
shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come
out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That
you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will
never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved,
uninformed."

WHO IN THE GREAT HOLY FUCK DO THESE MORONS THINK THEY ARE ????

THEY WANT TO RE-INVENT AMERICA IN THEIR OWN ( RACIST BLACK
