I was just quoted a price of $450 to replace the six plugs and wires
for my wife's Taurus. It probably needs it, but that seems
outrageously expensive. Anyone have any experience with this?

One of the things that AmerLink & In The Woods does is educate the
customer. It’s unfortunate that a lot of companies do not make the
effort to do this, no matter what the product or service offered. And
for anyone just diving into their research of building their own log
home, it can be a very intimidating and confusing process simply
because not all log home manufacturers are the same. That is why we
are offering a 1-day seminar for our customers who are planning to
build the log home of their dreams in the next 12 months. On Saturday,
September 20th In The Woods will host a very informative crash course
at our HQs in Rocky Mount, NC.
Customer Educational Seminar
Saturday, Sept. 20th, 9 am – 5 pm
For more info, please call Renee Warren directly 800/974-2597 or email

Of course, there is no 'old' war declaration, what we have now is:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080721/pl_nm/security_usa_detainees_dc
'A week after the September 11, 2001 attacks, Congress authorized "all
necessary and appropriate force" against nations and groups that planned or
supported the attacks. It did not specifically mention al Qaeda, which
carried out the attacks, or their Taliban allies.'
. . . and it sure is nice that even tho al-qaeda is the group that attacked
the US, killed Americans and vows an ongoing fight, they were never
mentioned by the CINO repub congress during the use of force.
The first sentence from the above article reads:
'WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Congress should explicitly declare war against al
Qaeda . . .'
Really? The WH is just now thinking that 7 years after 9/11?
It seems the CINOs will have rush on tomorrow to make sure they know how to
cut the WH slack on this.

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight
in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge (Proverbs 1:22). The simple ones
are not the ignorant, but rather those who allow worldly interests to become
the motivating force in their lives. The simple ones often become scorners --
more fixed in their disinterest of the truth of God's Word. They gradually
become hardened in sin and hate knowledge. Then God calls them fools. Fools
refuse the warning that would awaken them to the fear of God. Since they
ignore His Word, it cannot deliver them. Finally, destruction cometh as a
whirlwind (1:27). The fear of the Lord embodies a complete reverence of and
devotion to God -- an unconditional subjection of one's own self to His will.

i am sure everyone remembers about that flight earlier this year, or
at the end of 2007, where there were US nuclear munitions aboard that
were enabled in nuclear mode. as the plane flew over the US.
Boy that would have been really deep shit if something bad had
happened on that trip (missiles fired by mistake, crash of the
aircraft, disaffected Americans firing on the plane from the ground,
another one of those "tragic friendly fire accidents" that have been
accounting for roughly 1/4 of all american military personnel deaths
in Iraq and Afghanistan, etc.). Yeah that really would have been
"tragic" wouldn't it have?
