I seem to have hit a wall with my weight loss and it's starting to
frustrate me.

A week or two ago, I was down to 185 and that seemed like such an
amazing number for me, but I've crept back up to 187 and have stayed
there for long enough that I'm wondering what to do to turn things back
around again. I've been getting more exercise and have been good with
what I've eaten...lots of vegetables and fruit, chicken breast and fish.
The occasional Coke, but nothing else bad.

It's really annoying!!! I want to lose the rest of this weight, but I
guess it's been too easy for too long and now I'm going to have to
really work at it.

Pfft!!

As much as we hate it, all of us suffer from the dreaded plateau in
our weight loss journeys... You have done so well and I know you will
continue to if you don't get discouraged & give up cuz of this road
block on your journey to good health...
So keep on doing what you are doing & the scale will eventually start
moving in the right direction again... And don't just depend on the
scale as your guideline... How are your clothes fitting??? Is it
easier to tie those shoes??? There are several ways to measure your
success!!!

Keep up the good work!!! You can do this!!!

Shawn, you have to also be feeling so much better. Maybe you can think
of some little thing to tweak your weight loss? A different kind of
exercise? I'm far from an expert.
I've been reading a lot about vitamin D deficiency lately and started
taking a supplement. Supposedly a vast # of people are deficient because
they avoid sun and use sunblocks. I know in the winter I hibernate and
feel terrible. I can testify that it's made a big difference in my
energy level. I just feel better mentally & physically. No significant
weight loss...yet

With the dark and gloomy winters & springs we have here in Oregon, I
don't doubt that I have a vitamin D deficiency. That's a good idea,
Loretta. For some reason, I'm skeptical about supplements and whether
they really work or have any benefit at all, but sheesh, it couldn't
hurt to try it and see for myself. Thanks. It helps to hear that
it's been good for you. I'm glad for that!

If you're at 187 now, you could be at 145 in 4-6 mos. I'm so proud of
you, keep up the good work!

4 to 6 months sounds do-able. I'm hoping to at least have reached the
100 lb loss mark by my birthday at the end of July. That's probably
no sweat. Thanks. : )
