Took the dog out for a walk, but decided to run instead. Probably
looked foolish doing it, since I wasn't dressed for running (wearing
jeans!) but it felt pretty good to just be able to do it, and keep a
good pace for the entire run.
I'm playing with the idea of maybe trying to do one of the charity
walk/runs at some point in the future. Portland has tons of them and
they always look like fun.
I loved running when I was younger and think doing something like that
could give me a good reason to exercise more seriously every day and
call it training. I sort of hate the idea of going to the gym to work
out just for cosmetic reasons, you know? It just seems so shallow.
Even if I wasn't able to be a serious runner, just finishing it as a
walk would be something. A big change from my couch potato
lifestyle...
Might be a fun way to meet people too.
