"Human beings who sacrifice their intellectual integrity on the altar of any religious dogma can
work terrible mischief in this world. Those who really believe they are doing "God's Will" can
literally be "murder" for the rest of us. "....

Yeah, that's like saying we should abandon our

in cross dressing perversity. rotfl!

"All fanatics are dangerous. Religious fanatics are especially
so because they believe the 'Truth" they claim has the sanction
of a deity and thus cannot be challenged by mere mortals."

You, Katie a religious fanatic, by this very definition! ;))

Your burning bush had a deity write your Anti-
channeling Manifesto on the "parchment" of your mind,
and you don't believe any mere mortal has knowledge
that could challenge the Truth of what you were 'told.'

You generated your very own in a single night!

And it has -perverted- your capacity for intellectual integrity,
relative to the topic of inspired reception - or channeling -
ever since.

The golden rule in simplest form is, 'treat others the same way you
would want to be treated by others'.

There are arguments against this golden rule. The depressed person
would want treatment to be killed by others and following golden rule
he is obliged to treat others same way i.e kill others.

I didn't know this golden rule until 27 Dec 2004. During discussion in
alt.atheism, I wrote my own code of conduct which is...

" My actions
must NOT cause directly or indirectly any psychological, physical,
financial damage to any living being. To define what is good and what
is evil, step in shoes of ALL other living beings. If you feel overall
pain, it is evil. If you feel overall happiness, it is good. Whenever
conflict arise, prefer minimum damage."

Why do you have this rule of conduct for
yourself. IOW, -what- is your motivating
factor, or reason for behaving this way?

You mean they preach the golden rule but don't bother practicing it.

Hypocrisy is what all religions have in common, actually.
