You trust your feelings. That, in my opinion, sets you apart.
ACIM tends to turn our thinking upside down, as it is intended.
I think I have run into a number of students who never right
that ship of common sense. We tend to get caught up in
the theory and the concepts and the consistency of each.
And we fail to put the principles into practice.
You don't do that. You don't 'over think' things. That's to
the good, I think. In the final analysis the rights or wrongs
of one's individual interpretation of ACIM may not be as
important as living by those principles we do not quibble
over. As much as the Course urges us not to seperate
and isolate from each other, from God, the more we
sometimes tend to do so. That old authority problem
rears its ugly head when ever possible.

Hi Mike,
First let me say thank you for reading my story and giving me some
feedback. It means more to me than you know just to have someone read
it and think it's worth reading. I'm doing my best not to care what...

You have mentioned that you don't drink. Have you just never liked
it? Or did you quit at some point?

I reached my life time quota by the time I was 18. :)
The people of the world are much safer when I stay sober.

Yes, I've read your story George. My question was actually directed
to Mike. If you plan to stick around awhile, may I suggest you try
using Outlook Express as your newsreader? Google isn't a very good
way to read newsgroups. We can help you get set up with OE, if you
decide to try that.

I did figure out you were asking Mike when he answered after me. Opps
and thanks a lot for reading my story!
How do you use the OE newsreaders? Is it that much better and why?

OE isn't so good in some ways either. Older versions had serious security
flaws, so you need an up-to-date version. It isn't very good at filtering,
such as killfiles, and is not MIME-compliant. Then again, what I use at the
moment (Xnews) is far from perfect.

I know. I don't use it myself. I use a bought and paid for version
of Agent, which has full killfile capacity. But OE is better than
Google.

How good a newsreader client, as they are called, is as a way of reading
Usenet newsgroups depends on whether you have access to a newsfeed. If your
ISP does not have one, you have to go and get one.
