I thought Song of Prayer would be good for discussion here, but now
it seems more like the ng has gone more in a direction of "group
therapy".

The PPPP pamphlet is my favorite. Even though I don't really
understand a lot of it (and have the tape set Ken Wapnick made from
it, and that didn't help (LOL)

But this pamphlet, along with the Manual shows there is actually
something one can do with the TEXT and WORKBOOK lessons.

Anyone interested in giving their take on this? In a way it seems
to go in circles (at least the start of the pamphlet) and in ways
almost seems like manipulation and control. It gets a little clearer
and more direct by the end.

But, this could have been the editing. And who knows how much of
Helen's own perceptions/beliefs came through in this, and all of it.
At least in the editing. Seems like some of that would be inevitable.

Where did this pamphlet come from? Was it given and taken down (and
edited) on it's own? For some reason I seem to think it was taken from
the early text. Or maybe the question of psychotherapy was asked, and
given on it's own?

I know it's mentioned in the text.

The first few lines seem clear and direct.

PSYCHOTHERAPY Purpose, Process and Practice

P-in.1. Psychotherapy is the only form of therapy there is. 2 Since
only the mind can be sick, only the mind can be healed. 3 Only the
mind is in need of healing. 4 This does not appear to be the case, for
the manifestations of this world seem real indeed. 5 Psychotherapy is
necessary so that an individual can begin to question their reality. 6
Sometimes he is able to start to open his mind without formal help,
but even then it is always some change in his perception of
interpersonal relationships that enables him to do so. 7 Sometimes he
needs a more structured, extended relationship with an "official"
therapist. 8 Either way, the task is the same; the patient must be
helped to change his mind about the "reality" of illusions.
