Do you want to apply ACIM in your life?

Author: george
Date: May 8, 2008 13:47

I think that's why we are all here but I wanted to make sure. My
question is, do you want to APPLY what you are studying here in the
NG? It seems meaningless and silly to me to study a practical course
on how to change one's life if said person doesn't actually WANT to
change. I'm not saying we are applying it or we are not, all I'm
talking about is an intention. ACIM says all that is needed is a
little willingness and I think just the intention to want to try
would be enough for change to happen. Okay Katie I think just wants to
prove how it doesn't work but I would think the rest of us can prove
her wrong because it does work or else why would we all have been
drawn together to study it. It might take us all the rest of our lives
and a few million times to choose again but is there a reason...

  Pangea Day, Ultimate Ted Talk

Author: Lotus_Bloom
Date: May 8, 2008 13:10

Keep reading, there is a way to watch online, if you cannot find a
group showing.

Dear Friends of TED,

Wherever you will be on Saturday May 10, Pangea Day, you are warmly
invited to join me and countless others around the world for a
powerful, first-of-its kind experience.

Gathered in homes, movie theaters and larger venues, we will
participate in a remarkable program of films and talks -- a kind of
super-charged, marathon TED session -- celebrating our common
humanity. If you think of yourself as something of a global soul, it
could be one of the year's highlights. And in fact you could play an
invaluable role in helping it realize its full potential...

If you don't have time to read this now, please just calendar Pangea
Day for Saturday, May 10th (11am-3pm US West Coast, 2-6pm US East
Coast, 7-11pm in UK, 8pm-midnight in Europe and much of Africa,
9pm-1am in the Mideast, 11.30pm-3.30am India, etc.).

By the sad waters of separation

Author: Gene
Date: May 8, 2008 11:58

By the sad waters of separation
Where we have wandered by divers ways,
I have but the shadow and imitation
Of the old memorial days.

In music I have no consolation,
No roses are pale enough for me;
The sound of the waters of separation
Surpasseth roses and melody.

By the sad waters of separation
Dimly I hear from an hidden place
The sigh of mine ancient adoration:
Hardly can I remember your face.

If you be dead, no proclamation
Sprang to me over the waste, gray sea:
Living, the waters of separation
Sever for ever your soul from me.

ACIM L129 "Beyond this world there is a world I want." ~ May 8 (iambic pentameter)

ACIM Workbook Lesson 129 ~ May 8

http://courseinmiracles.com/workbook_lessons/part_1/lesson129.htm
http://www.acimradio.net/urwork/

" Lesson 129

"Beyond this world there is a world I want."

This is the thought [which] follows from the one
we practiced yesterday. You cannot stop
with the idea the world is worthless, for
unless you see that there is something else
to hope for, you will only be depressed.
Our emphasis is not on giving up
the world, but on exchanging it for what
is far more satisfying, filled with joy,
and capable of offering you peace.
Think you this world can offer that to you?|

What is wrong with this world

Read it, Pass this on. The founders of freedom in the United States
tried to eliminate the problem but unfortunately the problem is an
incurable cancer.
FFR

"What influence, in fact, have ecclesiastical establishments
had on society? In some instances they have been seen to erect
a spiritual tyranny on the ruins of the civil authority; on
many instances they have been seen upholding the thrones of
political tyranny; in no instance have they been the guardians
of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wish to subvert
the public liberty may have found an established clergy
convenient
auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and
perpetuate
it, needs them not."

  The Prince of Darkness

This site, being already read by thousands of people all over the
world, helps us to understand how Satan tries, on one hand, to induce
the man to commit the evil, on the other, to stand himself hidden and
to make him believe that he doesn’t exist.
But he is there !!
That’s why we must be always vigilant because, in the final moment of
our life, he should not present himself to grab our soul.

Why is Tom Cruise so vacuous* (empty, without own personality) - funny insider answer

Author: To You
Date: May 8, 2008 04:23

Why is Tom Cruise so vacuous* (empty, without own personality)?

Tom Cruise is (with a ten year hiatus (lapse, pause) again)
a 'Scientologist,' or THE 'Scientologist,' you might say.

'

'Scientologists' are told they are not souls, like the rest of
Mankind, but

'thetans.'

'

This they are told - amongst other things - by l. ron hubbard,
who has since many, very-long-past life times, hypnotized
('Implanted') people to believe, to feel, to be certain, that,
'whatever he tells them is true, "is true," and "does exist".'

So he "creates his own reality," and "his own universe."

'

Tom Cruise is thus "not a soul" but a 'thetan' - which the
interested layman knows from l. ron hubbard's scribblings -

a 'thetan' is a person who

"HAS NO MASS (NO OWN ENERGY), AND NO LOCATION, AND NO NAME"
