The Hidden Story of Jesus - 100 min

Aired: December 25, 2007 on Channel 4 Duration: 1:40:53 Info: Theologian Dr
Robert Beckford investigates amazing parallels to the Christ story in other
faiths, some of them predating Christianity by thousands of years. The Hindu
god, Krishna, was conceived by a virgin and his birth was attended by angels,
wise men and shepherds. Buddha was also the result of a miraculous birth and
visited by wise men bearing gifts. Beckford attempts to unravel the mystery of
why there are so many versions of the Christ story across the world and asks
which is the real one.

ACIM Workbook Lesson 124 ~ May 3

" Lesson 124

"Let me remember I am one with God."

Today we will again give thanks for our
identity in God. Our home is safe,
protection guaranteed in all we do,
power and strength available to us
in all our undertakings. We can fail
in nothing. Everything we touch takes on
a shining light [which] blesses and [which] heals.
At one with God and with the universe,
we go our way rejoicing, with the thought
that God Himself goes everywhere with us.|

Too cool.... from Merriam-Webster The Word of the Day for May 03, 2008 is:
modicum . \MAH-dih-kum\ . noun
a small portion : a limited quantity

Did you know?

What does "modicum" have to do with a toilet? It just so happens that
"modicum" shares the same Latin parent as "commode," which is a synonym of
"toilet." "Modicum" and "commode" ultimately derive from the Latin noun
"modus," which means "measure." "Modicum" has been a part of the English
language since the 15th century. It descends from the Latin "modicus"
("moderate"), which is itself a descendant of "modus." (Logically enough,
"modicum" refers to a small "measure" of something.) "Modus" really measures
up as a Latin root -- it also gave us "mode" (originally a kind of musical
"measure"), "modal," "model," "modern," "modify," and "modulate." More
distant relatives include "mete," "moderate," and "modest."

DISCLAIMER TRC-M

Posters should be aware that some posters are Anti-God, Anti-ACIM
trolls here to disrupt course dicussion and use

alerting posters and newbies about Anti-ACIM trolls like Katie Dean Vollmer,

Katie Dean uses malicious cult tactics such as slander
and smears to disrupt Course lists, actively supported
by Carolyn Smith. Nicomoon/Katie/Noggin, (Katie Dean Vollmer)
is a militant disinformation specialist who takes great issue
with using public venues to discuss God.

held yearly in Oregon.

"God wills to elevate (prepare/designate) the Souls (in)to temples
[Himself]"
is a really ONEderful line in it, very hard to translate for me.
I have uploaded a recording here:

To the Posters and Lurkers in this Newsgroup

Author: MikeRyder

I want to apologize in advance to you all for what is apparently about
to happen again in this newsgroup. I offered the poster deborah a
truce in which I promised not to bother her if she returned that
respect. I said if she continued with her campaign of vicious
harassment, however, I would consider her actions as her choice to
resume the war she has been engaging in for almost a month now. She is
now on her second warning. She has one warning left.

I dont want this war. Like the rest of you, I am tired of constant
warfare in this newsgroup. But I have no intention of backing down if
the poster deborah chooses to resume her war she has been conducting
against me. I have nothing to lose. I am already seen by some here to
be the Newsgroup Undesirable. And if, in the process of the war,
should the poster deborah choose for it, I lose any friends I may have
made here, so be it I'm afraid.

I have the time and the energy to pursue war even more than I have
done to this point. I could choose to leave the newsgroup, which is
what the poster deborah had hoped I would do. This, however, is not an
option.
