ACIM Workbook Lesson 112 ~ April 22
http://courseinmiracles.com/workbook_lessons/part_1/lesson112.htm
" Lesson 112
For morning and evening review:
[93] "Light and joy and peace abide in me."
I am the home of light and joy and peace.
I welcome them into the home I share
With God, because I am a part of Him.
[94] "I am as God created me."
I will remain forever as I was,
Created by the Changeless like Himself.
And I am one with Him, and He with me.
On the hour:
"Light and joy and peace abide in me."
On the half hour:
"I am as God created me." "

I would appreciate comments. Thank you!

want his name mentioned and then have it mentioned? <<
You may find it helpful to know that esepcially chapters 3,6 and 9
identify the historical Jesus, explaining the 'extreme teaching
example'
mentioning the disciples, and the misunderstandings about his mission
in history. It is correct that he never proclaims "I am Jesus", yet
his first person account comes down to him identifying himself
at numerous places.

Excerpts from the Workshop held at the Institute & Retreat Center of
the
Foundation for A Course in Miracles®
Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.
Part XII
Jesus As a Symbol
Jesus is of great importance as a symbol within our dream. Since we
are symbols that represent separation, hatred, murder, guilt, and
death, we need a correction symbol within the dream that represents
the opposite of what we have made real for ourselves. Jesus is that
answer and that symbol for us. We will look at a number of passages in
the Course later which beautifully express this idea. But first we
will begin with the poem I mentioned earlier called "A Jesus
Prayer" (The Gifts of God, pp.82-83), a wonderful poem that Helen
wrote. Before I read it, let me make a couple of comments.

The Most Commonly Asked Questions About
A Course in Miracles®
By Gloria and Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D.
Chapter 4: JESUS
49) Where does it say in A Course in Miracles that Jesus is the
author, and why is there no author's name given in the book? Moreover,
why are there sections on Jesus in the manual for teachers written in
the third person? Is there another voice dictating here?
Almost the entire text of A Course in Miracles is written in the
first person, where the "I" is clearly identified throughout as Jesus.
Moreover, there are many places where he specifically- discusses the
crucifixion and resurrection. There are relatively few obvious first
person references in the workbook for students and manual for
teachers, but when they do occur, their impact is quite dramatic, as
seen for example in workbook Lesson 70, the Introduction to the fifth
review lesson, and the poem that ends the manual.

I usually use Outlook Express, and put FIND and today's date to see
new posts, and just go down them. Sometimes it isn't working (to post)
and sometimes I don't get all of them in. I hardly ever get Katie's,
and I'm sure I miss a lot because of this (LOL)
So, I look in google, where new posts are brought up to the top.
If I've been reading in a certain thread, or looking for posts to
answer (I saw in Outlook Express but couldn't post in response) and
someone has changed the name of the subject, it's hard to find where I
left or.
I have to click every new post, and read down it (I have it as
a"tree" down the left side) reading all the change of subjects till I
find the area I'm looking for.
I don't know if I'm the only one who notices this, but it would
help if the threads kept the same subject lines, if you want to change
it, start a new thread with the new subject?
Just a suggestion, of course.

I've been really getting into meditation lately. At first I was
finding it difficult. Until I discovered what everyone else has been
doing. Whilst I've been failing miserably everyone else has been
reaching deep meditations and reaping the benefits. And theres me
trying to do what the Tibetan monks have been trying to master for
over 1000 years.
Thinking back I feel like a bit of an idiot, thinking I could follow
the same path as the Buddhist monks, considering my culture and
society are worlds apart from theirs. Anyway, I now know what you guys
have probabily known for ages.
Its knew to me so it's an amazing secret and im still up in a cloud
about it.
Anyway for those that want to join the same meditation group as me,
its free so money's not an issue, whichI feel goes along with the
whole spiritual thing. You do need to sign up so you can receive the
info and videos.
Make sure you read the information your sent, and then go off and try
it!

I mentioned a dialog on the question of what to make of the (sub)Urtext
passages on God creating matter I had with Robert Perry. Subsequent to that
there appeared this:
http://www.circleofa.org/articles/UrtextPassages.php
It has a discussion of the issue which makes sense of it, I think.
I recently found something in the Cayce readings which is supportive,
namely this:
"For as He gave, 'If I go not away the Spirit of Truth cometh not.' What
meaneth this? Not merely the passing. For it was the moving of the Spirit
that brought materiality into existence as a THING, as a condition, for the
souls and spirits and minds of men!"
The "spirit of truth" in the Bible passage is the Holy Spirit, and so this
is saying that it was the Holy Spirit which brought materiality into
existence "as a thing". Remarkable.
Here is Perry's idea of what might have happened:
So, what is the relationship between God and the making of the world? I
don't know the details, but I suspect that the big picture is something
like this: In Heaven, we fell into the belief in separation...
