As I practice this lesson, I become aware of
This (hand, table, computer)
and
That (curtain, wall, window).
This can mean for me a lesson in boundaries.
This - is what is close to me, the things I touch use in a body.
That - is what is outside of me, but still in reach.
It becomes a lesson in learning to distinguish about form, or content,
especially when I know I can ask Jesus to hold my hand (metaphorially
speaking, as well as directly, for some).

As this becomes real in my mind, I am with the Teacher whose lessons I
am learning.

Immediately I experience the privilege of Teacher and student; there
is an experience of intimacy, and also a sense of promise of awe, not
because I am in his presence now, but because I am in a position to
grow close to God Himself.

I experience immediate potential for forgiveness for the little sins
of the wrold I am/was playing.

my only resolution for the new year is to stop wasting my time.

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could all
use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on
the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr Phil proclaimed, "The
way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and
have never finished."

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't
finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle
of Merlot, a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a
bottle of Kahula, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac
prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos and a box of
chocolates.

You have no idea how freaking good I feel. Please pass this on to those whom
you think might be in need of inner peace.
