Q: But what about when people explore their inner selves? Make journeys
of self-discovery? Aren't they going within to find the truth?
Jed: They're just exploring the ego, making a study of the false self,
which is a lifequest as valid as any other. But you don't wake up by
perfecting your dream character, you wake up by breaking free of it.
There's no truth to the ego, so no degree of mastery over it results
in anything true. Putting attention on the false self merely
reinforces it.

There are many ways that people are vulnerable, and an equal number of
ways invulnerability can be practiced.
I am invulnerable - meaning: you can't get under my skin.
I am invulnerable - meaning: I have nothing to lose.
I am invulnerable - meaning: I have a close relationship with Jesus,
and I give all my troubles to him.
I am invulnerable - but I hide within a crenelated castle, and I can
shoot my arrows wherever I like.
I am invulnerable because I have friends/my mother/my boss/partner who
will defend me first no matter what anyone else may say or do, or no
matter what I will say or do.
I am invulnerable - meaning: blessed are they who are persecuted for
righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. (KJV Mt
5:10)
I am invulnerable - BUT: my attack thoughts attack my
invulnerability...

I don't have any more time to reply to you on the current subject. And
Sharon is right -- this has gotten tiresome. You and your two
defenders choose to run around in circles, and so be it. But I want to
leave you with this...
Yesterday, I believe, you equated yourself with the historical Jesus,
and thus the persecution and crucifixion he went through. But you're
no Jesus. The Sanhedrin condemned Jesus to death for political reasons
more than anything else. And using religion as the lighted match it
would not have been difficult to stir up the population into a
firestorm of anti-Jesus frenzy.
But Jesus did not alienate or lose his disciples, family and the many
friends he had made. They remained in close support of him even as he
was tried and condemned, flogged, and marched to the cross.
You, on the other hand, seem to have managed to alienate nearly
everyone in this newsgroup, at one time or another. You were busy at
it when I was in this newsgroup before; you are busy at it now, years
later. And the fruits of your labors have simply been conflict, not
peace.

JESUS IS A BISSNINNY!
Chapter 21 of the Bissninny Manual.
Introduction
Projection makes perception. The world you see is what you gave it,
nothing more than that. But though it is no more than that, it is not
less. Therefore, to you it is important. It is the witness to your
state of mind, the outside picture of an inward condition. As a man
thinketh, so does he perceive. Therefore, seek not to change the
world, but choose to change your mind about the world. Perception is a
result and not a cause. And that is why order of difficulty in
miracles is meaningless. Everything looked upon with vision is healed
and holy. Nothing perceived without it means anything. And where there
is no meaning, there is chaos.
