Anti-Defamation League, Anti-Hispanic Video Games Spread On Internet

Anti-Hispanic Video Games Spread On Internet

New York, NY, May 24, 2006 ? America's immigration debate has led to
the spread of video games on the Internet where Hispanics are
caricaturized, stereotyped, shown as objects for derision and hate ?
even used for target practice.

But what most people who download and play the games don't necessarily
realize is that they have been created behind the scenes by a digital
army of technologically savvy white supremacists who use the appeal of
video games to attempt to lure unsuspecting young people into their
underworld of hate, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

"The extremist groups hope that young people will find and share these
video games, not realizing that they are not just anti-immigrant, but
racist and anti-Semitic," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National
Director. "White supremacists hope that if they can get people to
click on these games, they will eventually visit their Web sites and be
drawn in by their racist message."

John:
~~Right. And who does this sick humor pander to? White racists who get
a kick out of dumb Mexicans calling each other beaners.

Spic,beaners, dumb mexicans.

Where does this guy get off?

And why did he change his name to John is he ashamed of his heritage?

from the chapter on forgiveness

WHAT IT MEANS WHEN OTHERS HURT OR DISAPPOINT YOU

Since other persons are children of God there is really nothing to
forgive. They have not really failed, us, or disappointed us, or let us
down, or shamed us. They may have stumbled while crossing our pathway.
But they were sons of God who had temporarily lost their way. If they
crossed our pathway, it was because they needed and wanted our
blessing. They were unconsciously looking to use to be steadied and set
right.

Our progress has not been hindered, no matter what they did or did not
do. They did not, they could not, keep our good from us. They crossed
our path by divine appointment, even though they seemed to hurt us for
a little while. When people bother us in any way, it is because their
souls are trying to get our divine attention, and our blessing. When we
give them that, they no longer bother us. They fade out of our lives
and find their good elsewhere.

Anti-Defamation League, White Supremacists Ratchet Up Anti-Hispanic Action

White Supremacists Ratchet Up Anti-Hispanic Action As U.S. Immigration
Debate Rages New York, NY, May 24, 2006 ...

As the national debate over immigration continues to hold the national
spotlight, neo-Nazis and white supremacists have ratcheted up their
anti-Hispanic action, using everything from Internet video games to
street demonstrations and other confrontational tactics in an effort to
exploit the debate as a means to spread hate. Their goal is to draw
new attention to their hateful notions about minorities and hopes for
making America a nation for "Whites only."

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which monitors and reports on the
activities of far-right extremists, has updated its online report,
"Extremists Declare 'Open Season' on Immigrants" with new information
showing that extremists continue to focus their energies on Hispanic
hate-mongering through racist rhetoric, crude stereotypes, and threats
of using violence to intimidate illegal immigrants.

Sharon:Speaking of ruminating... this is off topic of charity, but I want to
share this with you and the group. I've had a central theme come up
for me every time I meditate the last few months. It started when I
asked a specific personal question of the Holy Spirit, the question
had something to do with a personal crisis and how I should handle it.
First there was a very long silence, but I just kept waiting in
stillness. Then the answer I heard was "the part of you who is asking
the question is NOT who you are, and is incapable of receiving the
answer. You, in truth, already knows the answer." I was like.. no I
don't! I still want my question answered! Then I heard "The part of
you that wants the question answered is not capable of hearing *thee*
Answer" and then again "You are...

No matter if it was all made up or not, I can't see anything negative about
taking responsibly for the world I choose to see, and being willing to see
a different world, no. :)

Yes, so much that I don't understand, that's for sure.

Yes, I've heard of John Edwards and watched his show a few times, but I
haven't heard him say that before. I have heard others express similar
experiences though. Spirit reaches us in many ways. Thanks Sheryl.
