Almost all meditation practices start with using The Breath as the
object of meditation. And usually they say to focus on the sensations
of the breath right where it passes into and out of your nose, right
at the rim.
I have sat for HUNDREDS of hours, and every time I try a few times to
notice any sensations there. I am aware of NONE!
I can feel the air moving in my throat. I can certainly feel my chest
moving, cloth moving against my skin, belly moving, and even the
involvement of the shoulders.
But at the 'ol Schonze -- there is nothing!!
Anybody else have this experience?
Am I doing something "wrong"??
Any suggestions??
Oh, BTW, one of the very best books on Vipassana meditation that I
have read is called Mindfulness in Plain English. It is truly awesome!
But it delves deep into the sensations around the nose! I am trying to
substitute some other sensations of the breath, but this book sure
seems fixated on the Schonze!!
