DOES SHOGHI EFFENDI CONTINUE TO FUNCTION AS THE GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH IN THE NEXT WORLD?

Author: Joel Marangella
Date: Feb 17, 2008 18:01

POSTED ON BEHALF OF THE GUARDIAN OF THE BAHA'I FAITH

DOES SHOGHI EFFENDI CONTINUE TO FUNCTION AS THE GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH IN THE
NEXT WORLD?

How can any Baha'i who has read the Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha
rationally claim that the Guardian of the Cause of God continues to exercise
his functions in the next world?

For, to so argue, as some incredulously do, how do they rationally explain,
notwithstanding the explicit terms of the divinely-conceived and sacred Will
and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha that require the Guardian to preside as "the
sacred head and distinguished member for life" of the Universal House of
Justice, and "attend in person its deliberations," he is able to perform
this essential role from the next world, and exercise as well the following
additional rights and functions conferred upon him in that sacred and
immutable Document that unquestionably require the Guardian to be present in
this world?

· "Should he not attend in person its [UHJ] deliberations, he must
appoint one to represent him."

The current fraudulent application of the Law of Huququ'llah

Author: ross.in.canada
Date: Feb 17, 2008 15:45

If Hands of the Cause were not independently authorized to interpret
and apply the Laws in the Most Holy Book, the Kitab-i-Aqdas before the
first Guardian of the Bahá'í Faith passed in 1957, why would anyone
believe that something changed so that they could become legitimately
authorized to do so after his death?

Nothing changed. Both before and after the first Guardian's death, no
woman or man on Earth, apart from a living Guardian of the Bahá'í
Faith has had legitimate authority either to interpret or, independent
of a living Guardian, to apply Laws specifically recorded in Bahá'í
Holy Writ and Holy Text.

It was a violation of Bahá'í Law that a Hand of the Cause
independently called for a Huququ'llah Conference in 1987, and another
violation that a group of men called for application of that Law
beginning at Ridvan of 1992. That group of men was devoid of
legitimate authority to make that call.

The third Guardian of the Bahá'í Faith has stated that it is not yet
time for the application of the Law of Huququ'llah because women and
men are already under heavy burden of taxes by National governments.
He has stated that the Huququ'llah is for a future time.

Arguments against following Baha'u'llah and serving the interests of the House of Justice?

Author: jimhabegger

Susan, Pat, Viv, and anyone else who responds here to campaigns
against the House of Justice,

Sometimes I've considered trying to refute the arguments of people who
are campaigning against the House of justice, but apart from notorious
logical fallacies, and some possible implications I see in what you
do, I've never been able to find any arguments to refute.

Apart from notorious logical fallacies, have you ever seen any
arguments here against following Baha'u'llah, or against serving the
interests of the Universal House of Justice? If so, will you please
point them out to me? It would help me a lot if you would put them in
logical form: a coherent series of statements leading from premises to
a conclusion, like this for example:

Premise: Members of Baha'i institutions have done such and so.
(Other premises)
Conclusion: It's better not to follow Baha'u'llah
or
Conclusion: It's better not to serve the interests of the House of
Justice

Here's another example:

What if a Guardian were imprisoned?

Author: ross.in.canada

His Holiness the Bab was imprisoned. His Holiness Bahá'u'lláh was
imprisoned and even in solitary confinement for considerable time.
Suppose that a guardian became imprisoned for some years. Suppose
even that Shoghi Effendi had traveled to some Nation which opposes the
Bahá'í Faith, and disappeared and nobody knew if he was alive or dead?
Of course these scenarios are hypothetical, however to consider them
is useful in the present circumstances because they serve to emphasize
the fact that nobody has the right to alter a Guardian's instructions
merely because he is not present.
If Shoghi Effendi were in prison and not permitted communication with
Bahá'ís, surely no
Bahá'í believer on Earth nor any group of Bahá'ís would have had the
audacity to commence altering his instructions and decisions...

A response to Hand of the Cause Ross Campbell

Ross wrote:

Even the bogus UHJ on Mt. Carmel admits in its own words the truth of
what you have written:
"While the specific responsibility of the Guardian is the
interpretation of the Word, he is also invested with all the powers
and prerogatives necessary to discharge his function as Guardian of
the Cause, its Head and supreme protector. He is, furthermore, made
the irremovable head and member for life of the supreme legislative
body of the Faith. It is as the head of the Universal House of
Justice, and as a member of that body, that the Guardian takes part in
the process of legislation."
(The Baha'i World 1968-1973, page 570)

Dear Ross,

I strongly believe that whatever the bogus UHJ has written from its
constitution till now or anything that they write from now on is the
best proof of their falsehood and falsity, although in their writings...

Shoghi Effendi wrote in 1954: "...another ediface will gradually be erected."

Author: ross.in.canada
Date: Feb 15, 2008 12:19

Shoghi Effendi:

"In the neighbourhood of these two stately edifices, and two might
Institutions (ie. the Archives Building and the edifice for the House
of Justice), another edifice will gradually be erected which will be
the eat of the Guardianship, the centre which will interpret, expound
and prepare commentaries on explicitly revealed laws, and will
reinforce and supplement the legislative body."

(Shoghi Effendi, letter in Persian to the Bahá'ís of the East, quoted
on page 323 of The Bahá'í World, 1976-1979)

When Shoghi Effendi, the first Bahá'í Guardian, wrote those words in
1954, less than three years before his death, would any Bahá'í
believer have even thought of saying that Shoghi Effendi was wrong, in
error, that 'there is no need for the Guardianship to "reinforce and
supplement the legislative body" ', and 'there is no need for the
Guardianship to "interpret, expound and prepare commentaries on
explicitly revealed laws" ', and that 'we can effectively and
successfully bring God's Kingdom to Earth ourselves without anyone to
interpret the Most Holy Book of Laws or the Master's Charter of the
New world Order.'

  Who Ya Gonna Believe?

"EVERYTHING THAT IS WRITTEN IN THE WILL AND TESTAMENT WILL BE
FULFILLED. THE BAHA'I'S MUST NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT THIS."

SHOGHI EFFENDI, 1956

The above quote seems to be a thorn in the side of the sans-guardian
Baha'is, who quickly point out that it is a Pilgrim's Note and as such
has no validity. That may or may not be so, but what does it matter?
Does not the statement have validity regardless of who said it? How
can anyone be a Baha'i and not believe that everything that is written
in the Will and Testament will be fulfilled? After all, it is the
Center of the Covenant. As such, why should not everything in it be
fulfilled? What parts of it are not to be fulfilled? What parts of it
are to be fulfilled? It makes no sense that only a part of it will be
fulfilled. It will all be fulfilled eventually.

CAUTION *** Psychological War Zone *** Newcomers __
http://www.fglaysher.com/bahaicensorship/Caution.htm

Baha'i fundamentalists are highly adept at manipulating
and controlling information / disinformation and public
perception, on and off the Internet.

I caution you that appearances are deceiving on Wikipedia,
talk.religion.bahai and alt.religion.bahai, as elsewhere
in bahai cyberspace, BeliefNet, Talisman9, "unenrolled" Baha'i
Yahoo Group, at times the DMOZ and Google directories, and
so on, playing the game of "good cop, bad cop,"*** all of which
have been prime tactics and arenas of Baha'i propaganda and
used to identify and manage dissent.

"I do think it's convenient for some to focus on the messenger--why?--
it conveniently deflects attention from the message." -Bernard Goldberg, Bias

"The ideas that rebels expound tend not to be attacked by those in power.
The latter are inclined rather to kill the messenger by character assassination.
For example, one rebel was said to be a womanizer... bitter... disloyal... and
even, in the words of one accuser, dangerously mentally ill." -C. Tarvis, social psychologist
