The following was posted on Beliefnet as a thread entitled-
Distinguishing 'insult' from 'slander'
Kent-
"Complete lying crap"
That is called slander.
Thanks for confirming the obvious Kent- You cannot distinguish between
'insult' and 'slander'
Insult -"an expression, statement or behavior that is considered
offensive, rude or degrading"
Slander- "In law, defamation (also called vilification, slander, and
libel) is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim,
expressively stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the
reputation of an individual ...."
Go for it Kent....find a Lawyer, Court or ENGLISH TEACHER that will
accept the statement "Complete lying crap" as 'slander'
You're an 'nong' Kent, you're a 'nong', a 'dill', a 'dope' and a
'dickhead'.....>they< are all >>insults<< Kent...." offensive, rude or
degrading" but not slander.
