A letter dated 17 June 1933 written on behalf of Shoghi Effendi states:
"The Universal Court of Arbitration and the International Tribunal are
the same. When the Baha'i State will be established they will be merged
in the Universal House of Justice."
When I was a Christian, many years before becoming Bahá'Ã, I often
confronted clergymen, requiring that they clearly define their beliefs.
On one occasion, I spoke with a Roman Catholic Archbishop, requiring
that he define his view on homosexuality. When it became evident that
he was in favor of homosexuality, I mentioned Paul. He responded: "We
understand many things now which Paul did not understand in his day".
Evidently that clergymen, like many Christians today, believed that
Paul is a 'dinosaur'.
Are sans-Guardian Bahá'Ãs following in the footsteps of those
Christians? Do they believe that Shoghi Effendi is a 'dinosaur'?
Shoghi Effendi stated in writing that the International Bahá'à Court
is an "essential prelude" to the legitimate Universal House of Justice:
"The Universal Court of Arbitration and the International Tribunal are
the same. When the Baha'i State will be established they will be merged
in the Universal House of Justice."
