Howdy Kent,
It is highly unlikely that any belonging's of Abraham are in anyones
possession seeing that he lived many centuries before Christ.
I think you have the story a bit off Kent. What Mirza Husayn Ali's
family did have have was a writing that was attributed to Imam Ali. It
was written on leather if I'm not mistaken.
Yours
Larry

If the Turks called Cyprus the island of Satan they probably did so hundreds
of years ago in Arabic. That is information that may not be easily googled.

I am not fully versed in all of the event when Sen McGlinn left the Faith,
but I did see several discussions right here which explained it quite well.
It was my impression at the time that he came to an agreement with the
Baha'is and left willingly, but I may be wrong about that. I do know that
the article he published were quite critical of the Faith, and inaccurate in
several respects. Here is a link from Susan Maneck who reviews the article.
http://bahaistudies.net/susanmaneck/theocracy.html
In my mind, he fits the model that Larry exemplifies: someone who wants
attention for the criticism he makes of the Baha'i Faith.
Aanyway, if you have an archive of the TRB you can do a search for Sen
McGlinn and get both sides of the story. If not, you can read several
contradictory accounts of Sen McGlinn's side of the story with a google of
his name.
Obviously, the Baha'i Faith does not want to get involved in a controversy
with someone, like McGlinn, who seems to feed on such controversy.

All of the Writings of Baha'u'llah are authoritative. No one can change or
ammend those Writings.
Very few people have been declared covenant breakers. Others, like Larry,
have withdrawn from the Faith but criticize it constantly. No one tries to
stop him, to my knowledge, but I write him occassionally, and sometimes he
seems to pay some attention to reason.

I am not very interested in the lineage of Baha'u'llah, but since it seems
important to you I will find out. I do not even know which son of Abraham
is associated with Arabs and which one is associated with Jews. I heard
that Baha'u'llah had an artifact which was a belonging of Abraham when His
homes were sacked, and the item was not recovered, but as I said this is all
verifiable at some future date if you are so inclined.
> It is not the same thing as saying nothing at all can change.
Well, they elect new members every five years, and last election two members
resigned and two new members were elected.
I think you have it correctly so far.

Hi, Steve.
Forgive my poor communication. I mean it is not opinion but verifiable
fact whether or not the Turks called Cyprus the island of Satan. Yet,
there is no evidence doing a google search for this assertion. Can
anyone else provide a source for the statement, that is does anyone
have any other reference to Turks calling Cyprus this thing. In
history, one has evidence of sources. Are there any sources to back up
this statement? If so, what are they? If not, then the suggestion the
author of "God Passes By" made it up himself is a valid theory. Okay?
Peace,
Hong

Abra cadabra! The birth of Abraxas
It was a frightful night and the spirits did loom
Soon she found a creature growing in her womb
She could sense the danger, it gave her a fright
Visualizing the cord around its neck so tight
Squeezing squeezing, alas it did not save the day
So in the water closet the creature was born anyway
The creature was a curse with the devil's fire
He became a dangerous agent for terroristic hire
The parents gave it everything and did their best
But being enablers leaves them libel for arrest
The parents prayed and came to the conclusion
They'd pretend it was just a scary illusion!!!
