US education system is going from bad to worst, while everybody else keep
improving on them. There are still a couple of great US universities, but
the rest of the world is catching up rapidly.

Not to mention that the industrial development and research is better done
where the production is. And we destroy our industrial basis like idiots in
the quest to move it offshore to harm US economy for a quick proffit.

And where you have an industrial powerhouse, there is also where the
fundamental research is going to move. It is only a mater of time.
