Not according to the League of Nations. The League of Nations,
forerunner to the United Nations, did not recognize Palestine as Arab
land. The LoN, in 1920 and then again in 1922at the San Remo
Conference...

Not all Palestinians were forced out. There are still many Palestinians

when Muslim armies were able to crush the weak Roman army which was

Not all Jews. The Jews who lived in Palestine before the Zionist
movement did not want to create a Jewish state. In the late 19th
century radical ideas like nationalism and socialism became widespread.
One of these developments of that time was Zionism.
The Zionists did not want to dispossess the Palestinians but they
wanted a permanent Jewish rule over the state (like the Maronites in
Lebanon). A state is always more or less an oppressor, the problem is
not the Jews or the Zionists or the Israelis (3 different groups, an
individual can be a member of 1, 2, all 3, or none of these groups),
but the problem is the concept of the territorial state. Unfortunately
the nation-state is the ruling paradigma today.
