One defintion of hero I've read and like is "Ordinary men placed in
extraordianary circumstances".

Again I'm no fan of John McCain the politician but I do think it's repulsive
to attempt to smear his service record for political advantage especilly
given that the opposition has nothing to be proud of themselves.

I find myself conflicted about him. Clearly he has succumbed to "political
dumbing down" but I also think he would be a good foreign policy president,
which is wgat they are supposed to be anyway according to the Constitution.
Obama just flat scares me, the idea of him making those decisions. He'll
either dither or make the wrong decision and we the people will pay the cost.

A Hamas endorsement, in particular, is an automatic disqualifier for me. That
means they either know he is weak or sympathetic, neither of which is
acceptable. Better to fight the bastards then be ruled by them.
