The problem with your "disbelief" is that there is COPIOUS evidence
that he is siimply stating the truth.
> But, that's life on Usenet.
No, that's life by people who deny reality and evidence.
What's not to believe? Many of us will tell you that we both
do this and that others freely PLAN their meetings ( OpenCarry.org)
for WalMart and other locations.
You (or someone you trust) can easily arrange to attend.

You may or may not be aware, the fast-food company "Frito-Lay", which
markets corn chips in the US recently decided to place an anti-gun
advocate on their wrappers. Apparently they are recieving quite a bit
of "stick" for it from gun owners.
Reproduced below is a letter from another site which one gun owners in
the Us sent to the company

Re: Your promotion of anti-freedom, anti-civil rights activists
As you know, some of your products (Doritos) actively promote the
awards given to young people who “do something” through the
DoSomething.org.
And as you know one of those people is the anti-gun, anti-freedom,
anti-civil-rights activist Theo Milonopolous.

Real Economic Truth
By John R. Lott, Jr. and Maxim C. Lott
Does the media accurately report economic news? Some are raising that
question after the release of several highly anticipated economic
reports last week.
The new data show that the United States is not in a recession, as the
economy continues to grow. Fewer jobs have been lost than expected,
with unemployment staying low at 5 percent. And the stock market has
been surging over the last few months, with the Dow Jones Industrials
average rising back over 13,000 last Thursday.
But many news articles are painting a different picture.
"The bruised economy limped through the first quarter of this year,"
the Associated Press reported, "Ö as housing and credit problems
forced people and businesses alike to hunker down."
The article noted in the second paragraph that, "the statistic did not
meet what economists consider the classic definition of a recession."

Attack of the killer ravens: Flocks are suddenly slaughtering lambs -
what is going on?
By JANE FRYER - n 4th May 2008
High in the darkening sky, a flock of enormous ravens swoop and swirl -
narrow black wings stretched wide, heads protruding forward and huge
hairy beaks scything through the air.
Every few minutes they let out deep, throaty, honking calls as they soar
effortlessly, circling around until, finally, they spot their prey and
swoop.
But forget dormice, voles or even small furry rabbits; these sinister
looking birds are feasting on something far larger - newborn lambs.
Raven attack: Farmers report a rise in the number of calves, lambs and
sheep pecked to death
And instead of hanging around for a few discarded bones or a forgotten
carcass to pick and claw at, they've started killing live farm animals -
by pecking them to death, in horrific scenes reminiscent of Daphne du
Maurier's The Birds, turned by Alfred Hitchcock into one of the most
chilling movies of all time.

Iran rejects nuclear inspections unless Israel allows them
By ALEXANDER G. HIGGINS, Associated Press Writer Mon May 5, 4:22 PM ET
GENEVA - An Iranian envoy said Monday his government will not submit to
extensive nuclear inspections while Israel stays outside the global
treaty to curb the spread of atomic weapons.
"The existing double standard shall not be tolerated anymore by non-
nuclear-weapon states," Ambassador Ali Asghar Soltanieh told a meeting of
the 190 countries that have signed the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
Nuclear safeguards are far from universal, he said, adding that more than
30 countries are still without a comprehensive safeguard agreement with
the International Atomic Energy Agency to ensure full cooperation with
that U.N. body.
"Israel, with huge nuclear weapons activities, has not concluded" such an
agreement or submitted its facilities to the IAEA's safeguards, Soltanieh
said.

In Texas CHL holders can carry in all but a very limited number of
public places unless a SPECIFIC SIGN (30.06, pronounced "30
ought 6" like the rifle caliber) with specific words, sizes, colors/
contrast, down to the placement of puntuation and spelling (or
unless individually informed.)

Many/most in TX do. (For CHL holders)
