  Asbestos and Seniors

Author: Faye

Many people over 60 have been exposed to asbestos. Remember the recall
in the late '70's of hair dryers with asbestos? Add to that home
rehabs, working on cars, serving in the Navy in ships with asbestos,
construction jobs, etc. Asbesotos related diseases, such as
mesothelioma, a cancer of the lining of the lungs, abdomen and heart,
usually take decades to develop and have no effective treatments.

Write your congressional representative, either from their website or
from http://www.banasbestos.us telling them to ban asbestos (already
done in 40 countries) and to provide for the first time funding for
research into effective treatments for asbestos-related diseases.

  Hypnosis and Weight Loss

Author: stv33

A lot of people do struggle with weight loss issues all of their
lifetime. They have looked and tried time after time for the ideal
diet. However, the reality is that just one in four were able to
continue their diet for more than year and survive the diet roller-
coaster.

Don’t despair! There is good news. Unlike your dieting attempts, in
order to lose weight and keep it off, altering your subconscious
programming can modify the way you think, feel, and behave. Because
hypnosis is a medium that could be used to re-train our sub-
unconscious mind, re-training the part responsible for impulsive
cravings, it can give us back choice in how much and what we eat.

* Does Hypnosis influence weight loss?
The reply is unmistakably, YES, off course it does. But, you have got
to make certain that you have genuinely come to grips with how much
damaging your terrible eating habits are to your health.

biochemical reactions in the body to make life possible. They first

were identified.

Today more than 5000 are known but the number in existence is believed
to be more than 20000 enzymes.

Each enzyme has a specific configuration and therefore only able to
control a single biochemical reaction in the body. They depend on
adequate amounts of vitamin and minerals to function. Enzymes have

Natural Remedies - Are They Really Safe?

Author: stv33
Date: Jun 27, 2008 03:08

Any natural substance or herbaceous plant employed for its medicative
properties falls into the category of natural remedies, provided it
has been prepared by using only natural means and substances. Just
about today’s entire Western health care systems are established on
synthetic created medications, even though many are descended from
herbs with a long history of therapeutic attributes. Herbal Remedies
of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese medicine, Homeopathy and Phytotherapy
are termed alternative medicine.

Two facets of natural remedies, including herbal supplements, must be
noted here - safety and theory. Safety of any remedy depends on the
natural product utilized for the preparation of the remedy and the
ability of the person preparing it. This is highly crucial, as the
usage of herbs for medicative uses is not determined by the FDA.

A lot of herbs that have strong healing properties could also be
highly toxic in their pure form. Therefore, self-treating with natural
remedies is not recommended. As an alternative, you could search for a
reputable manufacturer or a health care provider that specializes in
this field.

The most important and valuable asset you could possibly have is Good
Health. It influences your career, romantic and social life and
without a doubt everything else you do. Good health is directly linked
to your diet, nutrition, physical fitness and information that
increases awareness on these issues.

The average life expectancy for men in 2005 was 74.8 years and for
women 80.1. It is not clear why men have a shorter life span. In 2003
the CDC reported that over one million American men died and of them
almost 80 percent died from one of ten leading causes of death for
men. However, while the experts are working to understand the causes
of death there is one thing that it is quite clear. Recognizing the
leading causes of death appropriate steps can be taken to reduce the
risks. 2003 was the most recent year on statistics for leading causes
of death of American men.

In order of percentage, here are the 10 leading causes of male deaths
and the preventative steps to be taken to improve your health and
reduce such risk.

Heart disease
Men develop cardiovascular disease 10 to 15 years earlier than women
and more than 25%% of the heart-disease related deaths happen at 35 to

HGH Growth Hormone used by Athletes

Author: Johnsonoygr
Date: Jun 22, 2008 08:41

Most of the smart athletes and Hollywood performers today are using
homeopathic HGH Human Growth Hormone oral spray. It's safe, legal for
over the counter sales, and achieves 60%%-80%% of the same results as
injections when comparing IGF-1 levels before and after usage. It's a
good alternative to injections while avoiding all the downsides of
needle usage. The most popular is sold at http://www.21stcenturyhgh.com.

Athletes are going to use it regardless of whether it's banned or not.
HGH is not a steroid. It exists in the body. It shouldn't be banned as
a performance enhancer. If so, then athletes should be banned from
using sugar or caffeine as performance enhancements.

each party finally settled, we now know what are options are going to
be come November.

I was wondering what people thought of Barack Obama and John McCain's
health care plans in relation to care for seniors. Do they seem
realistic to you? Ineffective? Good? Bad? Please share your thoughts,
as I am sure we are all curious. Thanks!
