The same position is held by some Eretze Israeli extremists. Or have
you forgotten people like Rabbi Kahane?
It should be noted that Israel initially directly aided the development of
Hamas in order to destabilize Fatah. This policy backfired in the sense
that Hamas went progressively more and more radical. However,
Israel would still prefer the two fighting with one another so that
Israel can better control the situation.
If is obvious looking at who is getting killed, Palestinians
and Israelis, that the Israelis gave always done better,
their overkilling in the Gaza goes almost uncritized,
the disproportionate use of power is evident in the past
and evident in this particular case.
Clearly Israel lost the propaganda exchange in this case,
and also destroyed its long based relationship with Turkey.
If the Israeli had just killed most Palestinians this
affair would blow over quickly, but too many Turks
were killed.
Jeff, you are totally incapable of presenting an other
than knee jerk analysis of what is going on.
