Thats a very Buddhist thought. Should we then let the suffering suffer so
that they have the oppurtunity to learn to throttle their desires (the
desire for less suffering, for example)
How do Hindus see it, I wonder?

Ah,the old predestination idea. I can't buy into that. If I am predestined
to do soemthing, I don't have a choice, and therefore I would argue that I
have no responsibility for something I "had" to do.
