Von, come on in, the water's fine. Look, meet, study, pray, get a couple of
missionaries attached to you (once you enter the church on a Sunday morning,
find the two young people with the little black nametags, introduce
yourself, and make their entire month!) Get some serious spiritual seeking
going, and welcome.
...and stay away from alt.religion.mormon and
alt.religion.mormon.fellowship. You have been treated very well there so
far, but I think that's because it's Christmas. Stay here in
soc.religion.mormon. There are critics of the LDS church here, too, but
everybody has to be polite about it.
Don't let Woody scare you off with his mention of daughters. I mean, I
have two unmarried daughters, too, but hey, don't let that scare you off
either! I can tell you this; there are lots of people who can, and will,
answer all your questions.
Sometimes the answers will differ a bit....consider the source. ;-)
