Hello,
Apparently God does care. He had His name recorded in the Holy Bible
nearly 7000 times. True, we don't know EXACTLY how it was pronounced
in Hebrew, but we have the basic consonants and can thus translate
into other languages.
Even the name "Jesus" in English, is not how it is pronounced in
Greek, the language of those Bible writings concerning him. What is
important at this time until God reveals His exact pronunciation, is
that we have a name that is widely used and known to represent God,
and still retain a form of the Hebrew consonants. That name is the
latinized form "Jehovah". As the King James Bible (and others) say at
Ps 83:18,
"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the
most high over all the earth." (KJV)
