BTW, I'm still waiting for a substantive reply to this post where I
note that there are lots of techs on board the carrier (and any sub if
we get the Strike Group) who can TS & R down to the component level
(the ETMS reference) AND likely a couple of techs - never mind the
Officers - who can design a simple radio (the ETC-7 reference).
And, yes, I *am* graduate of both of these schools, so they are part
of my personal expertise.
