As soon as the statue of Our Lady of Madhu was removed from Madhu Church on
instructions by Mannar Bishop Rassiah Joseph, tiger terrorists have broken
into the church and have made it their operational centre for the area
reveal intelligence sections of Security Forces.
According to Army spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara tiger terrorists are
engaged in placing land mines around Madhu Church and adjoining areas.
Security sections point out that Madhu area that had been declared a 'no war

utilized by tiger terrorists for their terrorist activities displaying their

La mejor forma en que he podido comprender el "período especial" (para
utilizar la terminología castrista) por el que estamos pasando es
llevándolo a la vida de un hombre común, cuyo sueldo es
sustancialmente mayor que el de la mayoría de la gente, que
súbitamente pasa a ganar más de diez veces su salario. Así, este señor
que ganaba en algún momento 10 millones mensuales de bolívares de los
viejos, pasa a percibir más de 100 millones al mes. Saque su propia
cuenta, multiplique por diez sus ingresos.
El problema se presenta a la hora de que ese hombre, lego en economía,
se plantee qué hacer con el dinero y, en lugar de invertirlo en
cuestiones económicamente rentables, lo gaste regalándolo y haciendo
fiestas para que lo quieran, comprando Hummers o cualquier otro tipo
de frivolidades.
