POSTED ON BEHALF OF THE GUARDIAN OF THE BAHA'I FAITH
DOES SHOGHI EFFENDI CONTINUE TO FUNCTION AS THE GUARDIAN OF THE FAITH IN THE
NEXT WORLD?
How can any Baha'i who has read the Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha
rationally claim that the Guardian of the Cause of God continues to exercise
his functions in the next world?
For, to so argue, as some incredulously do, how do they rationally explain,
notwithstanding the explicit terms of the divinely-conceived and sacred Will
and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha that require the Guardian to preside as "the
sacred head and distinguished member for life" of the Universal House of
Justice, and "attend in person its deliberations," he is able to perform
this essential role from the next world, and exercise as well the following
additional rights and functions conferred upon him in that sacred and
immutable Document that unquestionably require the Guardian to be present in
this world?
· "Should he not attend in person its [UHJ] deliberations, he must
appoint one to represent him."

Kosovo Declares Independence From Serbia
By Nebi Qena and William J. Kole
The Associated Press
1. Sunday 17 February 2008
Kosovo's parliament declared the territory a nation on Sunday, mounting
a historic bid to become an "independent and democratic state" backed by
the U.S. and European allies but bitterly contested by Serbia and Russia.
Serbia immediately denounced the declaration as illegal, and Russia also
rejected it, demanding an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security
Council. President Bush said the U.S. would work to prevent violence
after the declaration and the European Union also appealed for calm.
"Kosovo is a republic - an independent, democratic and sovereign state,"
parliament speaker Jakup Krasniqi said as the chamber burst into
applause. Across the capital, Pristina, revelers danced in the streets,
fired guns into the air and waved red and black Albanian flags in
jubilation at the birth of the world's newest country.
Sunday's declaration was carefully orchestrated with the U.S. and key
European powers, and Kosovo was counting on swift international
recognition that could come as early as Monday, when EU foreign
ministers meet in Brussels, Belgium. ...

The individual/s who made this video argues that we should shoot
illegal immigrants coming into the US, and that we should only allow
persons of European stock to immigrate into America. While finding the
video abominable, I don't believe it should be censored. People can
respond by commenting on the linked post. I will be making an entry
for the organization this individual represents and will link to your
comments.
It is indeed surprising the hatred that many people claiming high
moral grounds, based on religion, are capable of. The person who made
the video argues for why we have to take certain actions on the basis
of God. It is shocking that an individual can endorse murder, and at
the same time be claiming that God is on his side. I guess this is
common a condition in the minds of religious zealots; we have heard
others make claims like "God asked me to attack Iraq."

Any comments you leave at this link can be deleted by the person who
made the video. Not the case at the
above link.
