MORE WARNING VOICES RAISED CONCERNING COMING ATTACK ON IRAN: ‘The
Iraq War Morphs Into The Iranian War’ – 'Israel Preparing To Bomb Iran
Nuclear Sites'
The Iraq War Morphs Into The Iranian War
By Paul Craig Roberts,
via Information Clearing House,
29 April, 2008.
It is 1939 all over again. The world waits helplessly for the next act
of naked aggression by rogue states. Only this time the rogue states
are not the Third Reich and Fascist Italy. They are the United States
and Israel.
The targeted victims are not Poland and France, but Iran, Syria, the
remains of the Palestinian West Bank and southern Lebanon.
The American mass media is overjoyed. War coverage attracts viewers
and sells advertising.
The neoconservatives are ecstatic. Hegemony uber alles is back on
track.
The US Air Force can’t wait “to show what it can do.”
Defense contractors see no end of the profits.

According to media reports, United National Party (UNP)
parliamentarian Dr. Jayalath Jayewardena has requested the assistance
of the Royal Norwegian Government to establish a Buddhist temple in
Oslo, Norway, for the benefit of Sri Lankan Buddhists living in
Norway.
In addition to the above proposal of Dr Jayawardanena, let us rush
through some of his involvements for the 'upliftment' of Buddha
Sasana, both in Sri Lanka and India, during the last few years.
1. Sacred "Chudamanike" from Kelaniya Viharaya was taken to Jaffna
soon after the treacherous CFA was signed by the UNP leader Ranil
Wickramasinghe. According to the photographs published in media, Dr
Jayawardena was seen carrying the "Chudamanike" on his head while
there were hundreds of Buddhists devotees in the procession.
2. A Bo-sapling was taken from Sri Lanka to India to mark 2550th
Buddha Jayanthi Celebration probably for the benefit of Sri Lankan
Buddhists living in India.
The request of Dr Jayewardene should be taken 'seriously' since Norway
is the 'Vatican' of Evangelical-Lutheran religion as seen from the
following facts.

Know Stroke Prevention
Conditions that can cause stroke are very common among African Americans.
The best treatment for stroke is prevention. You can reduce your risk of
having a stroke by taking action to improve your health.
What can you do to prevent a stroke?
While family history of stroke plays a role in your risk, there are many
risk factors you can control.
a.. If you have high blood pressure, work with your doctor to get it under
control. Many people do not realize they have high blood pressure, which
usually produces no symptoms but is a major risk factor for heart disease
and stroke. Managing your high blood pressure is the most important thing
you can do to avoid stroke.
b.. If you smoke, quit.
c.. If you have diabetes, learn how to manage it. As with high blood
pressure, diabetes usually causes no symptoms but it increases the chance of
stroke.
d.. If you are overweight, start maintaining a healthy diet and exercising
regularly.

De Winter: Geert Wilders Is a Bigot
by Ellen de Visser
AMSTERDAM - TV Producer Harry de Winter, President of the board of the foundation Een Ander
Joods Geluid [Another Jewish Voice], today placed a remarkable advertisement on the front page
of the newspaper Volkskrant. De Winter puts Geert Wilders's criticism of Muslims in the same
category as anti-Semitism.
See below the de Winter ad (click to enlarge)
"If Wilders had said the same thing about Jews (and the Old Testament) as he does about Muslims
(and the Koran), he would have been ostracized a long time ago and accused of anti-Semitism."
What is your message?
"We Jews know better than anyone else what this sort of discrimination can lead to. Wilders
claims that the Muslims must be dealt with and that the Koran is a fascist book. That's how
the persecution of Jews once started, by generalization. Therefore, it is time for a sharper
criticism from the Jewish community. If you say the same thing about the Jews or Israel, you
are considered an anti-Semite and ostracized. It is good that this feeling of justice is so
strong, but, for me, there is no difference between the yarmulke and the headscarf."
What impact does this generalization have, in your view?

Islam in Holland
Amsterdam, Shawwal 10/January 16 (IINA) - Out of Hollands population of
15.6 million, Muslims make up half a million, which is ten-fold what it
was in 1971. Now the Islamic atmosphere in Holland has become common
feature, with mosques and Islamic schools in existence in various parts
of the country.
The Dutch government does not interfere in the religious affairs of any
community, and seeks to integrate the various minorities in the country
into the Dutch society, so that they can participate in the democratic
practices of the country and do away with racial inclinations.
Holland itself was inhabited by very few Muslims since the last half
century or so, though the majority of those that were encompassed by the
Dutch Empire were Muslims, because, up to 1949, its borders included
Muslim Indonesia. In Surinam also there is a sizeable Muslim community,
of Indian descent.
In the sixties there was a shortage of manpower in Holland and the
country had to look for foreign labor outside its borders, so that its
economy could be activated, and for this reason there was a movement of
people from such Mediterranean countries as Turkey and Morocco. Though

Scientific Contribution by Muslims Throughout Ages
Jamshed Akhtar(jamshedakhtar@ yahoo.com)
From the book:The Ultimate Revelations
http://www.islamawareness.net/
Fascination with the heavens, coupled with the need to determine the timings of prayers and
direction of Qibla in diverse locales, resulted in the tremendous development of Astronomy
from the very beginning. The progress took place along three interlinked pathways - development
of infrastructure; collection of data; and interpretation of data in conjunction with original
theoretical models. First path entailed construction of royal and private observatories - at
Baghdad, Damascus, Maragha, and Samarqand etc…[1]...and designing of several new instruments
by highly creative innovators of the era, to felicitate observations. In this regard, a very
important invention was Astrolab designed by Jandab an eighth century scientist.
Al-Battani, Ali Bin Isa and others developed and perfected it to such an extent that it became
an instrument of observation and a kind of computing device for calculating complicated
trigonometric functions and for determining astronomical parameters/functions. Through it,
they could tell the date and hour from the position of certain stars. Movable sights on the
instrument were aligned with the star and relevant numbers and signs were read off from windows
in the instrument or from its circumference.
