Steven Emerson, who has appeared at numerous congressional hearings and on
major news outlets as an alleged 'expert on terrorism,' has raised some
serious concerns among congressional staffers, civil rights groups, and some
members of the media.

E-mail communications made available during lawsuits involving the building
of a mosque in Boston, MA (Boston Lawsuit - ISB David Project), indicate a
collaboration between Emerson and the Israeli Government. These electronic
communications prove that Emerson, along with some anti-Muslim advocacy
groups, worked directly with the public affairs office of the Israeli
consulate in Boston to formulate the creation of a smear campaign intended
to stop the construction of a new Islamic cultural center.

However, despite these attempts, the new Boston mosque was opened

on September 28, 2007 in the predominantly African-American community of
Roxbury.

Russian soldiers fighting their way through the rubble of Berlin in the last
days of the war turned the corner of Iranische Strasse, in the district of
Wedding, and came across an elegant building almost intact. Fanning out to
search the structure, the Russians ransacked the place, room by room.
Medical equipment and rows of beds showed that it had once been a hospital.
Searching deep into the bowels of the building, the Russian liberators burst
open cellar doors, and in the darkness made out hundreds of cowering
figures - more than 800 people in all.

The soldiers swept through in an orgy of rape. Only when the Red Army

Russia, the former communist superpower, has said it wants to join
the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). One may wonder that a
country like Russia, whose population is mostly secular, truly
intends to join the world's leading Islamic organization.

Yet, it is true. Russia wants to join the OIC because of the growing
importance of Islam and its 1.3 billion followers in world affairs,
and to enhance cooperation with Islamic nations, said Russian
Ambassador at Large Veniamin Popov.

Popov, who came to Jakarta last week as part of a global mission to
boost Russia's relations with the Islamic world, told The Jakarta
Post and Kompas in an exclusive interview that Russia, home to some
20 million Muslims, qualifies in all aspects as an OIC member.

"If a country like Guyana, whose Muslim population is just 9 percent
of its total population, can become an OIC member, why not Russia,
whose Muslim population is higher than the total number of Muslims
in Malaysia and several Asian and African Muslim states?" said Popov.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Sunday,
for a visit that would make her the first chancellor ever to address the
Knesset.

On her three-day trip, in which she will mark the 60th anniversary of
Israel's independence, Merkel will be accompanied by several cabinet
ministers.

She is scheduled to hold talks Monday with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and
is expected to discuss Germany and Israel's relations in commerce, security,
tourism, culture and law. Israel's concerns over Iran's reported efforts to
obtain nuclear weapons are also slated to be discussed at length.

Sources close to the prime minister say Olmert will ask Merkel to use
Germany's clout in the European Union to help bring EU sanctions against
Iran, regardless of the UN Security Council's decision on the matter.
