  Talking Peace but Training Terrorists

Author: sinna
Date: Dec 25, 2008 20:40

The world is in unison that the scrooge of terror must end. Whether
these attacks are aimed at innocent people, VIPs, world leaders or
economic infrastructure becomes immaterial and we must unite to
condemn these attacks. The more we wonder how the menace of terror has
become invisible we need to factually take into account the sources
and links that have directly or indirectly pumped life into these
monsters and their terror cells and establishments. The answers to
these will provide the reasons why terror still remains over and above
the calls for the elimination of terrorism from the world.

How do these terrorists operate – from where do they get the money to
buy weapons and ammunition – how do they escape international and
local detection - how are they able to transport these items to
various destinations – who trains these men and women and even
children and where are these training bases – why are they not
revealed to the international public? Do they have links to a
country’s intelligence services, which are the countries that profit
from the arms trade and how much of these are provided to terrorists
and why?

These are some of the questions that will answer why terrorism still
exists. Of the oft quoted examples we are aware that money is raised
from extortion, drug trafficking, foreign supporters, money
laundering...

Tamil Nadu Voices Against Sri Lanka Carry A Meaningless Message Which Is Not Only Pro Terrorist In Nature But Also An Instigation For India To Act Irresponsibly!

It is not to placate the LTTE that Sri Lankan President Mahinda
Rajapaksa has announced that he will spend SLRs 3000 million ($ 27.27
million) towards the rehabilitation of the youth, children and women
of the war-torn Tamil-speaking Northern Province, including LTTE cadre
who lay down arms but merely an assurance of his confidence that the
LTTE will be defeated and what he intends to do thereafter. The
writing's surely on the wall to this effect and not to be interpreted
by all the wrong sources for all the wrong reasons and primarily that
it is an act of 'placation' which is the furthest from the truth!

Sri Lanka's adversaries particularly within the overseas diaspora as
well as those 'big hooters' in Tamil Nadu such as Karunanidhi and his
motley crew who have recently made a big stink purely in favour...

You are comparing apples and oranges.

The srilankan Tamils are fighting for self rule in a autonomous region
within sri lanka.

The Pakistani extremist are fighting to overthrow a democratically elected
govt of pakistan

The chance for peace is greater in srilanka if the govt is willing to enter
peace talks and

compromise. The srilankan problem is a lack of political will for a
solution. and the

tamil tigers would be perfect scapegoat for a inefficient sri lankan govt.

During a brief tour of Pakistan early this month with six other Sri
Lankan journalists, the question that came to my mind was whether the
world really sees Pakistan and Sri Lanka as victims of terrorism.

  Terrorist spokesman issues statement

BANGALORE: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa[BJP] on Monday urged
Christian missionaries not to go for forcible conversion saying there is
no room for such actions in a democracy.

"There is no room for forcible conversion in democracy. No one should
indulge in it", he said.

Yeddyurappa appealed to people to maintain calm and asserted that action
would be taken against those responsible for the attacks on churches in
Mangalore, Udupi and Chikmagalur.

His remarks came in the wake of attacks on prayer halls of Christians in
Mangalore and Udupi districts.

Yeddyurappa held a meeting with state's Home Minister Dr V S Acharya,
Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao and top officials of the Home Department to
review the situation in the trouble-hit districts.

Parts of Mangalore have been witnessing violent protests with Christians
allegedly indulging in stone-pelting to protest the attack on churches
and prayer halls on Sunday.

MANGALORE/UDUPI/CHIKMAGALUR:
After Kandhmal, it is the turn of Christians in Karnataka to face the
ire of right-wing Hindu mobs.

Suspected Bajrang Dal activists vandalized seven churches and a house in
Mangalore, Udupi and Chikmagalur districts on Sunday, protesting alleged
conversions of Hindus to Christianity.

Some preachers and parishioners were assaulted and church property
damaged in the attacks. The police in the three districts are yet to
arrest anyone.

In Dakshina Kannada district, the activists targeted the Adoration
Monastery just off the Milagres Church on Falnir Road. The 10-member
group barged into the prayer hall and damaged the tabernacle, where the
holy Eucharist is kept. They damaged windowpanes, furniture as well the
crucifix. Police said the same group attempted to vandalise another
prayer hall in Kankanady, but were driven back.

Kandhamal's tales of shame and horror
7 Sep 2008, 0003 hrs IST,TNN

What does one say to someone who has lost everything in a single night?
Words of sympathy have no meaning for Rabindranath Pradhan, whose house
in Gadragam village was destroyed by rioters. After the destruction, the
fires began to burn. Every Christian house in the village was torched.
Pradhan is in tears.

“Most of us ran to the nearby forest to save ourselves. But my
handicapped brother couldn’t escape. The rioters caught hold of him and
poured petrol on him. When he started burning, they began calling out
for me, challenging me to come out of hiding and save him. I could do
nothing — I was helpless.” He says he’s heard his brother’s “burnt
corpse is still lying there, rotting where it fell”.

This is just one of many horrific stories that come spilling out of the
anguished victims of the carnage that followed the VHP leader’s death.
It’s chilling to hear case after case of destroyed churches, burnt homes
and murdered people.

THE SOON RETURN OF CHRIST
I am glad that when I grew up in the church there was a sense of urgency
about the Second Coming of Christ. My teachers taught me that Jesus was
coming-soon. They didn't know when, but they were convinced that it was
soon, very soon. Long range plans, whether for our church, school, or my
family, were always tempered with the thought, "If Jesus hasn't come by
then." Probably like me, many can recall wondering whether you'd grow up and
get married before Jesus returned. Some now look back on that age and laugh
about how na
