That was before 1999. After 1999 China open up Tibet to foreign
reporters.
That's why the article was entitled "End the Fairy-Tale Reporting of
Tibet"
Foreign media are allowed to station reporters in Tibet.
From 1999 to 2008 I ve seen zero improvement of the quality of
reporting about Tibet. Probably Pamela Logan should write another
article about "Extension of Fairy Tale Reporting of Tibet 2008"

False. With a J1 visa I am not allowed to visit Tibet. In principle it is
possible but in practice travel permits are not granted, not even if I want
to take a vacation there and leave my work at home. Even now, with the
so-called "Olympic openness" policy. Get informed about what your own
government is doing, Yu.
