The Government today (April 22) announced the appointment of Mr
Roderick Bun Woo, JP, as the new Privacy Commissioner for Personal
Data for five years with effect from August 1, 2005.

Mr Woo, a solicitor in private practice (in Hong Kong and London)
for nearly 34 years, has participated extensively in public and
community service since 1991. He is now the Deputy Chairman of the
Occupational Retirement Schemes Appeal Board as well as a member of
the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority.
