Prominent Chinese Rights Activist Is Jailed

BEIJING -- A Chinese court on Thursday sentenced an outspoken human
rights advocate to three and a half years in prison after ruling that
his critical essays and comments about Communist Party rule amounted
to inciting subversion, his lawyer said.

Several years ago, all western media accused China of human rights
abuse concerning a girl with the name of stainless mouse. However,
none of these foreign journalis knew what was going on. They just
followed each other's example in tagging China with another human
rights abuse. None of them bother to investigate for more detail.
Well, a Chinese 'dissident' finally disclosed the underlying issue.

She actually had formulated and planned to obstruct justice.

As is, the Hu Jia news is not news. It is nothing but another attempt
to tag another human right abuse onto China. Again, it demosntrates
the a salient characteristic of western journalism concerning China.
