I am a naturalized US citizen. I was born in Shanghai, and I traveled
to the USA , where I studied and received my Ph.D. degree in History
from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in December 2000. I would
like
to share with everyone about my marvelous encounter with the New York
Police Force - New York's Finest. During a period of 11 years since
November 1995, my life has been given a new meaning and encouragement
by police officers of the Madison Police Department (hereafter MPD),
individual police officers of the State of Maryland, the Secret
Service
Agents in Washington DC and individual New York police officers when
I
have lived in Madison, Wisconsin, Maryland, Washington DC and New
York
City, respectively. I have been living in New York City since March
2001. In addition, I assume that the police officers also have had
many
civilians thanking them for their courageous and helpful work in
keeping law and order.The encouragement and help in my daily life is
