When you want to argue about scriptures, please quote the scriptures
and verses.
You have a disadvantage because I think you don't know Chinese texts.
Taoism and Chinese Buddhism are in Chinese texts. I read them both even
though my Chinese is still poor and my English is just satisfactory.
If you keep going arguing with other about 4 noble truth and the 8
emancipations, then you have to quote the texts to show. If they are
different from our sources, since you prefer translation from sanskrit,
but you cannot rely the English version of Taoteching and other Taoist
books. They are in Chinese original copy. Even I put up a piece on
Taoteching to explain. See
http://www.geocities.com/alex_kew/chinese/commenttao.html .
Don't be an idiot trying to argue your way out. You will be the
greatest fool.

I read Chinese...both the classic and modern Chinese
version.
I have problem only in writing Chinese in the computer
form ...in this internet.
I have no problem in a discussion or quoting "LaoTze"
work in Chinese. I have done so before.
As for Buddha's teaching, it is better either to quote
the text in English, those direct translation from Pali
or Sanskrit. There are many Indian words and ideas
for which there is no exact Chinese equivalents.

No I don't have. It is another person, you are refering to.

You are following the Hinayana Buddhism. I read Mahayana Buddhist texts
mostly from Chinese with English translation either from Chinese or
Sanskrit.
So how can we compare mine and yours. It is already 2 schools
altogether.
It there a point in going on arguing Buddhist scriptures ?
I have Chinese Taoteching in my website. Thanks for your information.
One is in http://www.geocities.com/alex_kew/chinese/commenttao.html in
images form I copied from chinapage.com. I find it slight different...

Schools?
If you are referring to the sutras, written by monks long
after Buddhism was split into the different schools ...
I agree fully...there are profound differences between their
teachings of the various Buddhist schools in China, Japan,
Sri Lanka, south India, and north India.
Yes, the commentary, the interpretation vary...
but these variances should not be taken as the teaching
of Buddha. They are NOT the teaching of Buddha.
I have no argument with the later scriptures at
all...there are hundreds of thousands written by monks
from the different schools, in different languages...
These are purely their own contribution to Buddhism
according to their schools.
Many of their works deviate from Buddha' teaching, ...
They taught about God, about rebirth, about life after death,
about ideas and teachings adopted from Hinduism,
Taoism and Christianity.....These are NOT the teaching
of Buddha.

> So don't say your is the original.
Is it important ?
What is importance is whether or not the meaning
of Buddha's teaching has been correctly translated ?
This could be verified by comparing the different
translations of his cord teaching.
> There are many modification going on
for the past 2500 years.
The Lotus Sutra was written long after Buddha's
death by other monks. It is written in flowery
language, with Asian imagings, .....
I have problems understanding the lessons
of this sutra, in relation to Buddha's core teaching,
and cannot capture the key points.
What are the key points ?
--------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 19
If in the midst of the great assembly
someone with a fearless mind
preaches this Lotus Sutra
listen to the benefits he will receive ...

To be famous in the whole world, this is the way to do. People will
attack me. This is expected as what the scriptures say.
I just want to tell the TRUTH.
The Mark on your forehead is GOD, ALLAH, BUDDHA, TAO, KRISHNA, etc. It
has to be SEALED by the Heavenly Way group or I-Kuan-Tao. (Now I don't
associate with them.)
