J. Venning, why don't you tell us how you were hailed as a "hero" in
China as you boasted 2 years ago in one message board?
"I have sung in Beijing twice now, and each time, I was hailed as a
hero returning to his Motherland by the audiences." - J. Venning, Jan.
16, 2006
If that's true, why Chinese government did not invite you self-
proclaimed "Chinese hero" to sing in their Concert Hall in Beijing
instead of that shabby place? Hey, how come Chinese government did not
invite you to sing in Beijing Olympic opening ceremony? They have
invited Sarah Brightman and Liu Huan to sing in opening ceremony this
Friday.
If you were hailed as a "hero" in China as you boasted here. I wonder
how Yo-Yo Ma will be hailed in China? A god? Haha!
Even another Chinese opera singer, Hao Jiang Tian is doing better than
you, he has sung at Metropolitan Opera and made some music CDs. So J.
Venning, when you have made your first music CD, let me know. Haha!
Chinese saying "Before you boast, don't forget to write a script so at
least it can make some sense!" 吹牛也要草稿吧!!!
