Imagine An Olympic Opening Ceremony without Europe and North America

To me, it will be very refreshing to see an Olympic opening ceremony
without the Europeans an the N Americans while the rest of the world
stood by China. It will be most touching to watch. 2008 mark the
begining of a new era of 3rd world solidarity. We tell the world for
the first time in centuries that we are no longer fool by their
manupulation. We are sick of their media domination. From now on
their prejudice no longer matter to us.
Hope my dream come true this year.

It would be nice if there is a way to ban them from Olympics. :-)

Maybe it is what will happen.

If Westerners do not change their attitude, it would be better than to
have troubles and violence, of course.

Peace and best wishes.

The marching of the nations is the most boring part of the opening
ceremonoy. However, it could not be curtailed because it afforded the
citizens of various countries an opportunity to cheer their own teams
on site or before the TV screen. If Europe and North America choose
not to march, the process will be shorter. Probably more minutes for
advertisement. Only Europeans and ann North Americans would be
disappointed. But no one would want to miss the rest of opening
ceremony.

Perhaps it would be even more refreshing, as long as you are busy with
justifications, to see China alone at the opening ceremony, free from all
those intrustive and meddlesome nations which are not the wonderful Middle
Kingdom, the only really civilized country in the world...

My main concern is security, not the event. Probably, I will not
watch the ceremony anyway.

Why should I be disappointed? Developing countries do what they can,
they know that China will respect their decissions whatever they do.
If Westerners threat them too hard, most will not face them if they
cannot. In my opinion, it is a long term run.

I follow the proverb (more or less), think great but work on details.
Hard work and as many bridges as we can, that is what I can do.

Peace and best wishes.

Do we need those rude bastards to be in Beijing.
It is best that they don't turn up.

They are ugly...and it hurts my eyes to watch them.

Of course, European and yankees sense of guilt would prevent them from
taking part in Olympics. They could not accept the fact that Asia has
risen and now stand equal against their former colonial masters...
they are still thinking of the good old days when the could roam the
streets of China, India, Southeast Asia... abusing cheap koolies,
raping local people, robbing them of their wealth, looting their
treasures, destroyong their lands..
