I've bought a lot of furniture in my life and I've never seen any
chinese moving up furntitures as you say. Either you're lying or your
son is an exception.

I'm in contact with many chinese families and I don't see as you are
saying. It is the natives and Malays who had to do the dongkey work,
while the chinese are the salesmen and mandor. I suspect there are
many chinese who are poor and suffer the same fate as many Malays and
natives, but I've never seen them. Except one, but he is not mentally
stable.

This is an exaggeration but I'm afraid I see the trend especially with
our education system that emphasises on courseworks rather than exams.
Imagine, 60%% of marks are awarded for course works that can be
outsourced to outside contractors. No wonder outsourcing seems to be
the order of the day.

They can only afford motorcycles.

They can afford cars or rather they know how to handle cars.

I don't have much experience with Mat REmpit that is rampant in West
Malaysia but not so in SAbah.
SAbahan children are not encouraged to ride motor cycles. Families,
from parents to grandparents will continously pester those who ride
motorcycles. Not many can stand this.
I tried to let my eldest son have a motorcycle license but while
studying he fell down 2 times. My sisters ride motorcycles but only
within a short distance of campus which does not exist any more. It is
too crowded at UPM.

Most businessmen are chinese. So chinese workers also suffer.
Sometimes you don't blame the government because the government
listens to the people and those who sponsor the politicians. In a
competitive environment, every business want to pay the lowest
possible, while selling at th highest prices. That is why, all
Malaysians of all races must support a Welfare State system, similar
to Hong Kong in order to save our children from abject poverty.
Stop blaming other races as being lazy and stupid. These are just
blatantly racists. It is the system that made everyone poor.

So why ask for government help, or complain when Malays get
educational loans from governments. Worst, why tell lies about non-
existing scholarships. Even the very best student in Malaysia, a
Muslim lady, didn't get a scholarship.
Only recently, when they introduce the Agung's Scholarship. That could
be a real scholarship, with no strings attached.

It is the chinese who control Malaysian economy and trying their very
best to prevent Malays from catching up.

FActs don't lie, while chinese lie about Malays being lazy and stupid.
Even Singaporean chinese need help in education in order to progress,
and yet Goh Chok Thong insists on Malays to stand up by themselves.
Stupid comment from a stupid PM which is shared by many hypocritical
chinese in Malaysia.

There is nothing wrong with being rich. Why are you so worried that a
few Malays got rich when the richest are still chinese by a large
number???

How many UMNO members can't afford to build such palaces?

What makes you think that I do. I'm concerned that other parents will
be in much worse trouble. Even now many Malays ride on motorcycles in
order to go to places of study because they cannot afford to have
cars. These are dangerous and as you had mentioned, led to the Mat
REmpit cultures. In SAbah, in most places, we can take buses to go to
work. In West Malaysia, the buses are so crowded that many people
don't bother to take buses.

This is the reason why the Welfare State system is not well supported.
We must realise that many people are unfortuante, and not because they
are lazy and stupid. I've never met a single lazy person in my liffe.
They may not be productive in the ways that we want them to be, but
this is because the motivation is not there, or there are other social
pressures such as Alongs.
Malaysians must support each other just as is happening to all the
developed nations through their WElfare System. Study the workings of
the WElfare State in Hong Kong first, before you come to a conclusion.
You must believe in the goodness of people.

Did I say my children complain. Many others also did similar and worse
things but I don't like this. WE cannot take like our labour costs. We
must be compassionate to our people. Why don't we provide them with
chairs to sit on? Or lifts for them to carry objects. I won't applause
you for doing these stupid heavy work. This is the problem of the
Malaysian cultures. They value hard work compared to smart work,
thinking that working hard and smart can be done together. You can't,
which is why the proverb were invented.

As though you're the only one who care.

And yet, you worry that many of them can build palaces? Why don''t you
study how these people can build palaces? Do you think that they just
sit down and the money will fall on their laps? These are businessmen
who learn to bribe people in order to get this rich, as chinese
businessmen had done before. They just learn from the successful
chinese businessmen in Malaysia, that is all.
Of course I know it is destructive. Everybody must stop this practise
of glorifying giving of bribes in order to be successful in business.
Or working hard is all that you need to be successful. Better find
alternative, more humane ways of doing things. Learn from developed
nations, even from Hong Kong.
