Does China really need the Olympics ?

This message is not about the dalai lama or his bloody followers.

This message is also not about them idiots who blindly supported the
dalai lama.

This message is about China, and the Olympics.

My question is - Does China really need the Olympics?

For the past century and a half, China has been bullied by the West
and Japan.

For the past century and a half, the Chinese people have been harassed
wherever they go.

Because of Teng Xiao Ping, China finally got the chance to turn around
its own fate, and begin to stand up with her own two feet.

30 years is not a short while, but if we look at the context of the
5,000 history, 30 years is a mere 0.6%% of the total.

So China have progressed far in the past 30 years, but there _are_ a
lot more things that China needs to do.

Many Chinese are still living in abject poverty. Many Chinese babies
are still being murdered needlessly. The social fabric of China isn't
as strong as it should be ... in other words, the list of social ills
the China is facing is very, very long....

For one thing, it will improve the environment just a little bit. That
will set out a trend to improve China's environment everywhere.
Olympics is not about the money. Don't be stingy republicans looking
for nothing but profit.

As for face, if we can afford it, why not? We care about our self
image because we know how to enjoy life. What's so bad about that?

Don't be ridiculous. Chinese were living in comfortable houses when
the rest of the world was still living in stone built caves. That is
why there is no archeological evidence found to support China's 5000
years history, as houses built with mud bricks and wood blocks simply
couldn't last as long as thousands of years.

Your question comes too late. Olympics are here. We just have to do
our best because we owe it to many people who have worked very hard.

And to organize Olympics is not enemy of fight against poverty. On the
contrary, investments create jobs and wealth.

anything in a CCP history book is suspect - complulsive liars.

Chinese "civilisation" - does it still exist in uncivilised china today - is
much ypounger than that in Mesopotamia, Eygpt and probabbly the Indus River
Valley.

Rewritting history on a wish is fantasy - get over it.

Yes!
We need it!!

Because we need the sight from the whole world...

The CCP use to block all the media , so there is no image what is China, how
is Chinese people living etc. in foreigner's mind...

But now it's the chance... And it's the chance to let Chinese know who they
are, how they should improve themselves...
