The IOC has accepted the Chinese passports of the athletes as valid
evidence of age. There is no formal US protest as proof of age is
very hard to prove. The subject rests. I will suspend judgement at
this point and will not make any arguments for or against.
The proof will come with time. At 14 the girls will have some growing
to do yet. Boy's and girl's body structure does not reach adult size
until at least 18 years of age and maybe even up to 21 or 22. If the
Chinese girls gain height and have larger boobies over the next two to
four years then the are very likely underaged on 2008. One very good
example of change is Maria Sharapova the tennis player. She was so
slim and girl-like when she first won at Wimbeldon at age 17(16?).
She is so muscularly bulked up now and give you a knockout blow with
her fists and not her looks.
